This difference just showed up the other day. My i-level was accurate but last night it dropped to 244 even though my gear was upgraded.
As you can see from the screenshot, all of my items are are 256 - 266 but item level in game is showing as 244. I don’t have any unslotted items in my bags. I have a couple old items from years ago that are saved in the bank for nostalgia. They’ve never been a problem before. Thoughts?

You must have switched from a staff to a dagger, but you don’t have an offhand and that empty slot becomes ilevel 0, dragging down the average.
Classic! If I had a nickel for every time I’ve done that… well, I’d have like 20¢. The point is, Raius, you’re not the first to have done this. Just go back to the staff for now and get yourself a good offhand. And as a bonus, there are some really funky transmogs for off-hands. Enjoy!
