I am trying to DE some stuff in my bags and I get the “Item cannot be disenchanted” error. I have SL enchanting and had DE’d items before. There is nothing special about the items they are just dungeon drops and greens. I’ve reloaded UI and restarted wow.
Edit: Looks to be all SL items under ilvl 100. Crafted items under 100 may possibly still be disenchantable.
Update: I just hit 60 and am now able to DE the items. Either it was just hotfixed or they made it so you have to be max level to DE low ilvl items.

Might be worth trying a Full UI Reset to see if that clears it up.
Not necessary, it’s like 5 items I cannot DE. Other items can be DE’d.
If that’s the case, you’ll want to post the specific item names over in the Bug Report forums so that the QA team can be made aware.
I’m having the same issue. Unable to disenchant multiple world drop greens but was able to yesterday.

Yeah seems like nearly half the stuff that was put in our guild bank is not disenchantable. Even a few of the items I have in my bags is the same way. It seems so random as to what can and cant be disenchanted.

Same issue here. Sample item: Melody Defender’s Bulwark. I have max level shadowlands enchanting on the affected character.

I am relieved to see it is not just me having this issue. This started being a problem for me as well just today. I was able to d/e everything just fine yesterday. All items were green BOE’s such as Gilded Glaive of the Aurora (the only one I can remember off the top of my head)

Random Bastion quest rewards are not disenchantable ( Reverberating Silver Band ) for example. A random BoE green from a corpse ( Glimmerhoof Armplates of the Harmonious ) is not disenchantable.

I am having the same issue, but i noticed that if the items are under ilvl 100 they can’t be DE’d. If over ilvl 100 they CAN.

Good eye, mine are the same.
Only reason I noticed was because I had the 2 handed weapon that dropped form Nathanos and it didn’t have the “cannot disenchant” So I looked for a BOE with 3 digit ilvl and I was able to do it.
This appears to be the case only with SL items. BfA lower level items can be DE’d.
Having this same problem as of today, lots of green BoE weapons and other random pieces can’t be DE’d.
Same here, and the 100 ilvl threshold seems to also be the case on the Shadowlands items I have in my bags. This is definitely affecting green BoEs, quest rewards, and drops from rares; I think rare-quality drops will go over 100 ilvl at level 52, and green boes that require level 53+ are ilvl 111+ so it’s only a small subset of possible drops… but it’s still pretty aggravating 
Exactly the same is happening to me. I’m leveling this with Enchanting and some items can’t be disenchanted. Quite frustrating!
Yeah dude your not alone. Got the same thing and when I check the AH and bought the same exact item I was able to DE it but not the one I got as a drop (All uncommon items). So I’m guessing its just a bug. thnx for posting.
Same deal with me. Leveling in threads of fate, lots of greens and blues I was excited to DE. Won’t let me DE any of them. Sad.
I have 12 BoE greens in my bag I cannot DE. I can’t check ilvl right now as I can’t log into WoW, but I wanted to bump this. Frustrating.
I have a level 99 green that I can D/E however it’s a SL crafted, so it appears that it must be above lvl 100 or a SL crafted piece to D/E.
