It was fun while it lasted

I got in 4 mins after servers went live, the human starting zone was absolute pandemonium! I just resorted to tagging any mobs I could till lvl 3 then broke out of there. Realized I didn’t know where any of the starting quest were, and proceeded to just kill mobs.

Luckily a guy who played p servers invited me to the group and helped me quest till I was able to make it over to Westfall. So made a couple new friends, started to find what worked and what didn’t work. Looked up some Darkshore quest for better gear.

Managed to get my lvl 15 mage into some pretty fun BG’s. It was a blast, except for the game where it was a Chinese premade lol.

what? you’re kidding?

I joined the BG late, all their names were in Chinese, so I assume that was the case. They weren’t trying to cap and just farming people, so ended up leaving that one.

The Horde were running a lot of pm BG’s, ended up in one they were streaming Kargoz and Melderon.

It’s funny because there are so many entertaining mini-games in classic, my favorite being “how long will I live” game, my best streak in that game is 2 levels while questing. Funny enough, I’m proud of myself for achieving that steak lol.

i thought i was gonna survive the defias pillagers. i managed to heal thru their attacks and dot/wand/bubble them down. till that vulture snuck up behind me.

I kind of wrote it off before I tried it, but grabbing skinning early on will give you an edge in the coinage. Getting a good wand if you’re a caster was so worth it!

I can’t believe I’m saying this but yesterday I was in barrens fighting one quillboar, we were both low hp but I was about to win when another quilboar snuck up on me and messed up my glorious 1v1 and I actually said out loud “COWARDS!”, just a knee jerk reaction. And as soon as I said that I couldn’t stop laughing for 3 minutes.

Is that what they call it now? Probably to avoid all those pesky moral dilemmas of making people pay to beta test.

It was very good while it lasted… back to my BFA twinking while I wait :c

Man, he got me all the time… So zoned out, not paying attention…

Ha! That was my personal challenge. To finish that quest on my own without dying. I made it, but yeah, the dang bird almost ended me early. I was hanging on by a thread. Yay, for real Moonbrook.

I only made it to lvl 13 (and 1/2) cuz life and stuff, plus I was running around checking out other stuff instead of just pure leveling.

Yeah, this was the only darkspot for me. I hope they undo this cuz if they do, August can’t come fast enough.

I ran into one and got so rekt, but it was great to do oldschool WSG again. <3

Did you guys find that the defensive and aggressive stances for the pets act just like passive, sometimes?

First day sucked quite a bit. Borderline unplayable: couldn’t complete a single quest due to competition so I had to resort to mob grinding. Second day was alright, though I should’ve went to Loch Modan instead of Westfall.

Reminded that grouping up for kill quests is awesome, but not something you want to do for loot quests. Getting 10 gold dust turns into getting 50; even on free for all loot, it sucks.

My takeaway: not rolling on a high pop server, and certainly not a PvP server. If you get behind the curve on a PvP server, you are irreparably screwed. You won’t be playing the game; you will be someone else’s game.

There was a thread started by someone who ran into the same issue and could duplicate it. It seemed to be related to changing pet stances in combat. It causes the pet to sit there and do nothing… except run their mouth.

It happened once to me, but was close to when I was disconnected that I just lumped it in with the other abnormalities that appeared leading up to the boot.

I had my pet on passive and when I sent him to attack and then when I moved around strafing and shooting the pet would just stop attacking the mob and run back to me and pet as well on passive. I reported it in game as bug.

Wish I had beta, and I’m long overdue for one. I have not been in a beta since MoP.

It was pretty consistent for me, I i had to dismiss/summon the pet to get them working proper. After a few times i just gave up on it.

There’s another stress test July 18.
