i think the AI is smarter in classic. a low level spider in elwynn forest, ran from quite a distance to defend the boar or wolf, cant remember which, i was about to kill after dpsing it for over 30 seconds, with my legendary starter mace that did 1dps. haha

we couldnt finish cause our tank had an appointment he couldnt be late for, but we made it to the goblin forge with the goblin engineers who spawn those robots? its not an easy dungeon at level 15
 not even remotely.

i had fairly decent gear, considering it was vanilla gear, and our tank was geared about as good as you can get at that point, and was a great tank. the group was superb, honestly. we died once to each boss till we could strategize a work around.

lol I often found myself begging random mob, “please tiger, just don’t, please” quickly followed by “HOW DID I AGRO THAT?!! I WAS MILE AWAY!!” The whole leveling experience was so engaging, every second of it lol.

for future reference

first boss fight in deadmines wait till boss walks to end of his path, furthermost point away from the two guards and therefore closest to you and have a ranged pull him back into the tunnel. dont fight him in the room. then you dont need to cc his guards.

second boss fight in deadmines - helix gearbreaker, clear room of all but boss and his mech then kill his mech first, then if you die, the mech doesnt respawn, though helix will be back to full hp.

third boss fight in deadmines - we didnt get to fight this boss cause our tank had to go but just remember, if you’re fighting an engineer or if one is aggroed on your group, dont let him stand back and create robots, cause he’ll just keep doing that and they have alot of armor and hp. you wanna stun, interrupt, cc him whatever, to keep him from making more robots.

I didn’t make it to 15 since I got distracted and was doing other stuff than leveling. I didn’t want to leave by the end lol.

I got a druid to 15 and ran RFC but I didn’t get the chance to do WC because of work :frowning:

It was fun except for layering. Might as well be on a separate server or unsub till layering is removed after launch. :frowning: rest was fun though.

I joined a random group shouted together at Sentinel Hill. We made it to the last platform before VC. We could handle 2 lvl 20 Elites and their non-elite adds, but that last plaform had three level 20 elites. I think if we were in a guild and weren’t on our first run we could have made it to VC.

Could we have beat him? Don’t know, but we went in thinking we’d only get to the Foundry. We wound up beating Smite and Cookie.

We were a Warrior, Druid, Rogue, Pally, and Hunter. If we had a mage for the CC I think we could have done it easier.

Either way it was a blast. Wish I was in on the Beta. Looking forward to Aug.

I only got to level 9 this time due to work.

But what a blast. You really do get attached to your toon.

Had a great time with my Tauren shaman. Never got far in the Mulgore starting zone in the past and I really enjoyed it. I’ll miss Shocknmoo :worried:.
