I’m 50 and always hold the door open for people. My mother and father would come back from the grave and beat me senseless if I didn’t.
As much as I dislike society…I try to be nice. There’s 2 things I don’t stand for. Treating an elderly person badly or treating/making fun of a disabled person.

I know white people who sit back and thinks the world owes them something. And honestly I have never been told to my face or on social media about owing anyone for the past. Thats my experience however.
And what does unnatural hair colored people mean?
I’m white as rice and when I was going out in public when I used to drink(sober 11 years) I would see the things that led to people saying there is systematic racism. Not everyone is racist but its there.
And as far as CRT goes…it’s being wielded as a weapon of fear. It’s not taught in any high school. People are scared of the past and the truth about how POC and Indigenous people were treated. It’s so out of hand a friend of mine sent a copy of an email to me saying the school district where they live is trying to ban CGT critical gender theory. It dont even exist.
I know its a pipe dream but society needs to be less judgmental and more understanding.

Idk if a game being delayed is a lie. I’ve worked as a software engineer before and sometimes something happens that breaks everything.
I’m still waiting on VtM:Bloodlines 2. It’s been 3 years. Preorders were up for 1 day and then taken down. Til the game gets canceled I’m not going to worry about a refund.
People are just impatient when it comes to games but developers could dang well communicate better. Most if not all gaming companies (ff14 is the only one i know that is pretty up front) have terrible communication with their players
The time frame that they said it was going to be released was the smallest window they have ever given. They had not even given out enough time for all of the beta issue to be fixed, so they were well aware it was not in a state to be released. They knew they would lose more subs if they had come out and said it would take another six months before release, and they did not want to have low numbers to show the investors.
I dont remember it being 6 month delay. But even if it was things happen when programming. One line can break thousands.
Not saying it’s what happened or Blizz communicated with the players well but I don’t see an advantage to them “lying” because they had to issue the refunds and that looks just as bad as low player numbers
Imho
I hate FFXIV as much as the next person and I am more than happy that the people going on about it eventually shut their traps
But there is a lot wow can learn from it up to and including proper communication, just take a look at the shaman forums right now and blizzards lack of communication

I’m sort of glad. I liked following FFXIV news and things without really playing the game. Just barely dabbling with it was okay, even if I don’t like the game, itself. But the amount of hype and rabid “wow refugee” fanatics that began just spewing hatred while propping up FF on a pedestal really made me feel off about the game as a whole. I know that’s not what the devs are all about.
I liked following most of the art accounts but now it just annoys me seeing it pop up
and it shouldn’t.
Both WoW fans and FF14 fans just need to understand that they do functionally different things and don’t really compete. A competitive mindset makes both of these communities deeply unpleasant to interact with.

Wow is the best MMORPG absolutely.
Fallout is an FPS… there’s no comparison. FPS are way more popular than MMORPG’s. By a landslide.
I just said six months cause that seems to be the normal time it takes for everything to be fixed. It is the codding that causes issues, and a developer knows if there are still issues that need to be tested on the beta then it will take more time to find the solution. It could be a issue of a not being a have, or just putting a hat on causes a crash. If there are any problems it not going be easy to find its root, and will a developer knows to add another hour or more to the work load.
They didn’t lie they just omitted it, if someone had asked them if it really was only going to take another two months, and they had said defiantly, then they could had been caught in a lie. However, no one asked so they could say it would possibly be out, and they would not be lying.
It be same as player claiming SL was fastest selling expansion. Blizzard just spins it so only the good part is said out loud. "We had huge sale records last expansion. However, the delay di cost us some losses, but if everything stays on track we looking at break records again. Perfect example, say a positive then the negative then end with a positive, which part you think investors were listening too?
You do realize the wow hype will die down in like 2-3 months. This is what happens when a patch comes out. The crowd will flock to FF when they drop something new.

The people might not be talking about it on WoW forums but that doesn’t mean the hype or the game died…some people just get tired of the drama on forums

- Infinite transmog closet
- Catchup mechanics. Yes, they do exists
- Valor
- Bringing PvP vendors back
- LFR for players to experience the content
- An actual PvP experience (Albeit power balance is broken atm)
- Revamping the starting zones to improve the leveling experience
- Continuous changes to classes (Good and bad)
- Cutting down on min/max talent builds by revamping the trees
- Tanks can actually hold threat
- No more long-winded leveling grinds
- Gameplay that is second to none
WoW has done a lot to change over the years. The problem is we as WoW players don’t care because we’re too busy hating all the things we don’t like.
In the meanwhile FF has…
- Limited glamour closet
- Resource clutter in your inventory
- An extremely long leveling experience (Subjective if you like RPG storylines)
- A forced storyline (You can buy most of it but you still have to purchase a leveling skip if you want that as well)
- An anime storyline at that
- An inferior combat system
- Easier raiding
- Non-existent PvP
- Housing savage for 5 expansions
- A good number of shop only items (Most were originally in-game but those are limited events)
I’m sure I could find more. Yes, FF players blindly love their game.
Must be fun to live in your own reality where you can just cherry-pick the OPINIONS you like, present them as facts, and completely ignore everything else that doesn’t fit your agenda.
In the real world, we call them SJWs and Trump supporters.
I prefer to call it “having an open mind.” There are things I could list disliking WoW and then liking FFXIV. Believe it or not, I spend more time in FFXIV.
What I’ve learned is the player base willing accepts deficits that other games have improved upon. Yes it’s all subjective. The thing is you can’t talk about your dislikes over there. You’ll receive silence, or worse, heavy resistance. The God Yoshi P can do no wrong.

How do you know ? Have you read the minds of every final fantasy player ?
You are assuming things in an extremely simple manner

I spent 1000+ hours over there that’s how.
Have you seen or experienced housing savage? I went weeks without a house. It was the most mind numbing thing I have ever done in any game. I almost reached the point of botting it but I reassured myself I couldn’t stoop that low.
The housing system is pretty much universally hated though so I’m not sure what the point of bringing it up is.

WoW is the best MMO on the market, flaws and all. There’s no need to pretend WoW isn’t a flawed game, we all know it is and accept that even though it has flaws, it is still the best MMO on the market.
FF fanboys are not playing the best MMO on the market, which is all fine and dandy, but because of the “team sports” mentality, they have to try to pretend their MMO is the best when it isn’t, which leads to massive overdosing of copium.
It really says it all when they recommend everyone try the game, but then attack the majority of players who simply quit due to its beyond-awful leveling experience. People think WoW has a bad leveling experience, whoa boy, FFXIV is something else.
I agree, FF14 is the greatest MMO on the market.
