Gotta give the man a break to be fair. He’s probably on the verge of tears realizing WoW is on the verge of being put into a perpetual maintenance mode to milk dollars from the remaining players as everyone else has fun on different games.
Dude is coping very hard, if only he could like, be a man about it though and accept that all games die eventually. It’s kind of sad to me in a way, the mental image I am getting is a young child that sees their parent dead on the couch and is desperately trying to wake them up refusing to believe they probably can’t wake up.
Or that scene from FMAB that breaks most people when Hughes is buried and his daughter is saying “But if they put him in the ground he can’t do his work when he wakes up!”
Yes, because it to me is a far more enjoyable experience than playing Retail WoW post 2014. I would much rather swallow a bowl of broken glass, deal with the pain of it going down my throat, then the further unbearable pain when said glass eventually has to leave my body as nature intended than play Shadowlands.
Are you some tool that thinks people are only allowed to play the most modern of games? I also play Majora’s Mask a lot, and Paper Mario. Actually this is a good example, Paper Mario. Ask anyone who is a Paper Mario fan which is the best game. You are going to overwhelmingly hear Thousand Year Door, and the original game, because after that the gameplay radically changes and alienated a ton of people who enjoyed the original games. Except unlike WoW people don’t bother trying to make excuses on why it’s “ackshually a much better game because it’s more modern”, the people that like later Paper Mario games are pretty straightforward about “Yeah, it sucks if you’re an old time fan because it’s radically different from what you played as a kid.”
A month ago with no Race they were the last game in the 4th row with 3 WOW games and a PTR. An the sad reality is they realize in another 4/5 days they will be back to those numbers because very little will be interested in Re clears as these guys try to pay back the trillions they borrowed to be second…
WoW ends it’s 20 year saga? Community in an uproar over how they butchered one of the most beloved characters, and the villain as everyone predicted said there’s a much greater threat in the cosmos we will invariably need to deal with. Response is overwhelmingly negative.
FFXIV ends it 10 year story? Massive amounts of praise from the players, streamers actually crying at some points, cutscenes from the very early questing much longer than the 1 minute cutscene you got beating the Jailer which is supposed to be the big, grand finale of a 20 year story. . . a one minute cutscene with basically “There’s a bigger threat out there. . .”
i just find it weird , you don’t like the game anymore , claim WOW is dead , yet you are still here , sub to WOW , supporting Blizzard , getting milked .
you say you have so much fun in others games , yet you are here making paragraph on the WOW forum for 1/2 hour, i would understand on Twitter/Reddit but WOW forums man i don’t know
Incorrect. I sold a lot of m+ carries at the start of Shadowlands. I have enough token time to not pay a sub for the next two and a half years. Was basically the only worthwhile thing to spend the gold on because I was very aware early on I was going to quit Shadowlands because it was a dumpster fire visible from the first week of gameplay.
LOL, yeah, I’m supporting them how? Not paying them a cent and bashing them relentlessly on their own damn forums for having a team of supremely incompetent developers. If that constitutes support, you’re off your rocker. If I went into a support group and treated anyone in there the way I treat the WoW devs here I would be kicked out immediately for being unsupportive of other people.
Can you maybe type like an actual person and not some Nigerian Prince claiming to be my brother asking me for my personal documents so he can send me money?
I think this is why most conversations on “hype” between competing games is silly. Cause the only real metric is Twitch viewers, and Twitch viewers for smaller genres like MMO’s overwhelmingly follow the streamer, not the game.
Asmon himself said something like that. It doesn’t say anything about a game when one streamer can log onto one game and boost it’s viewership by like 50k, log out, switch games, and then the other game now has the viewership lol.
I mean, he meant to work on it, he really did. Problem is there was like this huge pandemic during 2020 so you need to immediately absolve Blizzard of all criticism because they had it rough. No other company suffered the GLOBAL PANDEMIC as hard as Blizzard, even the ones in countries that had even more strict lockdown measures like Japan that managed to get on track.
Blizzard was so thrashed by covid it’s still blighting them in 2022 and its effects are so devastating it’ll be until 2025 before they can actually get back in the office and release patches more frequently than 7 months.
One year, one content patch. God damn that pandemic hit hard. They never did this before the pandemic. . . checks patch dates Oh wait, nevermind 8.2 was released 6 months after 8.1 and 8.3 was 6 months are 8.2. . .
I never said I sold tokens. Learn to read you addlepated fool.
Blizzard, if you’re reading this, you need to hire better shills. Preferably ones that know the difference between selling tokens and buying the ones people already bought for gold so I can not give you monkeys a dollar because you expect 15 dollars a month for a game that has less content than 2005 RuneScape where a sub cost only 5 dollars a month.
