I felt this 100%. I started in Dec, and ARR story was good for me. I was comparing it to the last two WoW expansions and to me it was well written, albeit a little long.
Stormblood I could have done without. The games are so different. FF is more story based than anything, but I love that about it. Where as WoW is more kill kill and I love that about it as well.
ARR Hildibrand quests alone made that expansion worth it. I didnāt know they existed til last week and now I am on pins and needles waiting for the next installment. I havenāt felt that way about a WoW storyline in years.
Yeah it certainly takes a mindset to get through it that wonāt appeal to many WoW players.
Thereās some nights where I would just spend 3 hours or more teleporting around talking to people and advancing the MSQ, unlocking dungeons, etc.
If you just want to āFollow the diamond and kill the things.ā then āFollow another diamond and kill the things.ā then it has that, but that certainly takes a backseat.
I want Hildibrand, Godbert, and Nashu as trust teammates. I donāt even care which dungeons itās for. Give me banter with Nashu trying to be friends with Estinien and I will be a happy man.
That would be amazing! And you are right about the Saucer, I was amazed when I first visited and every Sat I am on pins and needles for that lottery draw. I love Air Force One, and any of the jump puzzles really.
I would love to see WoW let us pick up all the crafting and gathering jobs like FF14 does. I donāt want 1 char with each class. Thats my biggest drawback of 14
I have one left to level. Where I agree it would be awesome, I wish FF were more like WoW in the leveling of them. It takes forever with those mini games over and over in FF. The hand stuff I mean, not the gathering I heart FF gathering.
Who in the world could possibly care about streaming numbers for an MMO? MMOs as a phenomenon predate streaming and are played predominantly by people who do not watch streams. Aside from the one or two weirdos with audiences on twitch the ebb and flow of an MMOās population is absolutely not reflected in twitch streaming numbers lmao.
