Yup, but there are 20-30 players streaming the WFR right now, so that’s where the numbers are coming from. It’s also weekend, so a lot more people have the time right now to watch. In EU most people would normaly come home from work right now if it wasn’t weekend and prepare dinner, but instead they can chill and watch.
Umm so people are following the streamers and not the games then?
Makes more sense if they like the personality. I mean I watched Markiplier play hunnie pop, not a game I would buy for my worse enemy, but enjoyed him playing it.
So…
It’s amazing to me that people still don’t understand how important twitch is for measuring a game’s success.
As a streamer myself, I’ve been offered tons of cash simply to just stream a game. And I’m not the only one, nor am I the one being offered the most money.
People really need to get with the times. Twitch views = Popularity. To say otherwise is out of touch with how gaming works nowadays.
To people who care about twitch. You forget that important factor. The most important in fact. You think you’d know that as a streamer, I mean…
The flip side of that coin is there’s a graveyard filled with the corpses of games that bought their views on twitch only for people to find out the game sucks.
Blizzard must have fixed that one boss because everyone is on it again. Looks like everyone is about to be 9/11.
You know what i saw recently , they sponsored a FF14 streamer to play/return streaming the game
AnnieFushia got a sponsored stream to play FF14 1 day because she did not play/stream the game for weeks
Square enix are desesperate for streamers
Not really. Also depends whether the game is really fit for streaming or not. FF14 is extremely popular but extremely story driven, so most people play it themselves. I play both FF14 and WoW and I sometimes watch WoW streams but would never watch FF14 streams.
Genshin Impact, Phasmophobia and Stardew Valley are also still extremely popular and successful, but most people don’t seem to stream it or watch it but rather play it.
No one sponsors someone to stream for 1 day, rofl.
I swear , they sponsored her to stream the game again recently because she did not play it for weeks with Lost Ark etc
She did not stream FF14 for weeks , then i saw she was streaming FF14 again suddently , i open the stream and see #AD in the title
i really wonder what is the sub count of FF14 , if you check steamchart , google trends , every sponsored streamers it must be really low
If she is being sponsored, why is she playing Elden Ring?
This 100% I started playing watching someone play it. Once I got into it, I didn’t want spoilers. It’s huge over there. My FC, my linkshells everywhere, people frown on spoilers. To a point friends avoided pulling out mounts they got from the story in front of me. I love that about the FF community. Other than Stormblood for me, all of them had me in tears and wanting more.
It’s true, my dad owns gameshark and he knows.
That’s the funny part. Every observable metric shows FFXIV is dead… EXCEPT for a few posters on the WOW forums apparently.
It’s just comical at this point.
it was 1 week ago + , i don’t really remember when exactly but check her vod and find it if you have time to waste
So in other words it didn’t happen.
Hmmm like the playing one and seeing a world full of players? It’s literally weeks from patch, kind of like that dead time WoW had where everyone jumped to FF? Like will happen again, as history has shown us, yet you seem to forget?
The only reason all those streamers went to FF14 is put pressure on Blizzard in regards to the issues that had been happening. It wasn’t the cool kid thing to play WoW at the time so they all went and played Endwalker in spite.
Even at WoW’s lowest it still gets more engagement across every social media than FFXIV does.
The game is dead. That’s why the only time anyone ever talks about it is on the WOW FORUMS and NOT THE FFXIV FORUMS.
Really? I am looking at them right now, see plenty complaining about the standard stuff. One about classes, one about solo people needing stuff… Seems about the same as here.
Tell me, who at FF hurt you? I mean they are both good in their own regard, but what makes you feel the need to lie, and not take into account sheer facts?
All MMOs have lulls in content.
I hope the bold helped you.
