Especially with the exp increase that has been in place.
I think what you might have actually done, is use a level time splitter addon like titan panel, forgot that the time counter keeps going after you hit the previous level band max, and are now trying to use that as a basis for how long it takes to level.
But to answer your question, no. You don’t need a boost. That’s what the exp buff is for.
