It was the last what 4 -6 months of Vanilla? Yeah lets pretend that 1.12 is authentic AV experience. Not like it was out for another year before that. . .

Anything that was in vanilla wow is authentic, it doesn’t matter which patch it was in. Some people like one patch, some people like another. It doesn’t make either one right or wrong, it’s all subjective. They are going with 1.12 so just accept it instead of delaying the game with your desires for a frankenwow.

However, can we at least agree that a battleground where 40 alliance and 40 Horde on their mounts, running past each other to zerg the boss is probably not the best thing considering . . ITS A BATTLEGROUND?!

Oh look, brave sir wall-of-no- and-started-in-wrath is back.
If you were in the middle of the BG during a match, did not know of the clock, and did not know of the reinforcements, what is different from 1.12? Actual gameplay differences and content.
Seems to me it’s the people whining about 1.12 that are the ones seeking drama and attention.
I’m personally indifferent to which AV version we get. I don’t care if it’s 1.5 or 1.8 or 1.12, whatever. It’ll still be different enough from retail to be Classic.

You contradicted yourself a little. People can ask for old AV as it actually was in the game and loot sharing/sharding are unrelated as they were never in Vanilla. This thread is unnecessary.

i think you are wrong. alot of people will not get over it. 1.12 AV is a sham . it does not show the true spirit of vanllia. good luck with trying to enjoy it when its going to be zerg rush . i know i wont.

Being disappointed and abstaining from copious sycophantic slobbering =/= “losing it.”
Very few people have completely freaked out about this - most just say it potentially reduces their interest in Classic WoW as a paid service. Frankly, meta-complaining about their complaints is even worse than them complaining in the first place.

1.12 AV, is basically the version you can play on BFA right now. When we asked for Classic, we did so, because we wanted access to things that are no longer in the game.
Naxx, AV 1.5, old dungeons and zones that were removed, server only communities and so on.
If we wanted to play the current version of AV, with crossrealm and rush, then we would do so on BFA. There is simply put no reason for us to play the Classic reboot, if it does not offer us content that is nowhere else to be found.
I am honest with you, I enjoy collecting transmogs in BFA, to move my attention away from that, you need to offer me something and this Blizzard doesn´t do right now. The authentic Vanilla WOW is the main reason I wanted to play Classic again, it has everythingt that a true MMO needed.
While Naxx and ZG might be fun if they ever come untouched, we are talking of a feature that will be locked behind raid progress and not everyone will have that time.
AV 1.5. on the other hand, was available for everyone and that´s why it is such a big deal breaker here. It´s content for every single Classic player, it´s content we love and can play, no matter our skill, time or dedication towards the reboot.
Not having 1.5. is as bad as running TBC servers without attunements or WOTLK without achievements. It´s the signature feature of the game, you can not lauch your reboot without it.

TBH, this 1.12 AV news makes me think they’re going to add cross-server BGs AND “random BG” queue when BGs release. Two equally horrible features. When I grinded to rank13 I spammed the BG I enjoyed(AB) and sometimes WSG, if I’m forced to play roulette to get rank13 in this “Blizzard Classic” I’m going to be really upset. At this point I expect it though.
