This is my first character and was referred by a friend. but after playing for a little bit it says im a trial account and not a full account despite that i have purchased a subscription for a month of playtime and own base shadowlands.
That will clear up within 24hrs.

Darth is correct 
Basically, while your initial purchase is being processed you’ll have some of those social restrictions in place. The level cap is removed right away though, so you can keep playing without being blocked from progressing.

“Can keep playing without being blocked from progressing.” That’s entirely false, especially if you are trying to level as a tank. Trial accounts are blocked from everything needed to level as a tank.

That really is debatable, as there are plenty of things you can do between 1-20 for any spec to “progress”.
That said, any feedback you may have would be best submit so our Developers may be able to see it and not in a thread from over a year ago.
I’d recommend providing a bit more detail if you wish to provide that, as “no, that’s not true” doesn’t really provide any actionable information.
