It is time to FINALLY separate Raid and M+ gear completely like PvE/PvP for good

Your comment comes off as “I shouldn’t have to maintain multiple gear sets, but I think those people ought to have to.”

I would love M+ to have it’s own gear like PvP does. I don’t PvP and never feel pressure to get PvP gear. I just want to raid, I don’t want to feel behind for not doing M+.

I agree with you 100% but there needs to be world content gear as well.

No more well I raid so I should be a God in raiding / mythic + / WQ

Let us world questers get gear that is amazing in the world but doest compete with M+ or raid gear. Only reason I have done any raiding since Cata is just to get more gear to be OP in world content, especially now that everything scales

Nope. Terrible system is terrible. People that are successful in the game shouldnt be penalized because you do simple content.

we really dont need to be put into a situation where we have different sets for raid, dungeons, world content and pvp. that’s so absurd. gearing can be improved yea but that’s a terrible idea. having pve and pvp be separate is one thing but separating different pve content is stupid

If you don’t like it then don’t do it… But don’t complain when other people out gear you cause they actually enjoy M+

Mythic+ should of never became a end game system in the first place, it should of stayed a challenge system for cosmetics, easily one of the biggest issues with WoW end game imo.

Nah people that are successful in this game should get gear that works in the content they run.

Why should you get handed gear for content you don’t run? IF you are already running it, you would get the gear and your point would be invalid.

I disagree with this.

Been there done that . pvp gear with resist and penetration then was pvp power lol pvpers would show up in full pvp gear and do crap dps and please don’t forget healing gear dps gear tanking gear all the bs with hit spirit resist lol. Tier gear was different as well. I much prefer to avoid the complexity and keep it as is. Making a way for raid only people to nudge up ilvl a bit so you don’t trail everybody by 20 ilvls I would go for.

Why the hell do people have to group others into categories to justify anger? I like and do both raids and M+ and I am sure a lot of others do as well.

That would’ve been totally fine but let’s not forget around that time (and for many years, basically since the introduction of Mythic Dungeons ‘M0’ difficulty) a lot of players wanted smaller group content with much higher difficulty as an alternative to Raids.

Blizz, very famously and to very loud cheers, announced Mythic Plus system clearly stating it is meant for an alternative to Raids while providing similar level of rewards. They actually mentioned it in the announcement how there are many players who feel they can’t keep up with larger raid groups schedule and would still like to have challenging content to login any time of the day, grab few friends/pugs and do a couple of runs at very high difficulty.

Of course, keeping M+ a true alternative hasn’t been as easy as they may have thought or perhaps they don’t have the desire to make it a true alternative despite announcing it that way just to grab some cheers and support.

They have “promised” again and again to improve M+ rewards like multiple choices with Weekly Vault system and later for Catalyst type system for better access to Tier Sets and guess what? BOTH of these systems have benefited Raiders more than anything.

With Weekly Vault, Raiders get a guaranteed highest ilvl item practically for FREE (depends on what difficulty they did last week) on top of already having access to multiple highest ilvl gear that now with the change of loot system, can simply be funneled into one person.

With Catalyst, M+ Players have to wait for six long bloody week just to start with one charge each week and that in and itself is a bonus for Raiders who have had access to Tier Set from week 1 on multiple difficulties which means they can (and do) mix up Tier Set from Normal/Heroic or Mythic as they please.

So yeh, at the end M+ Players have been given false promises patch after patch but been shafted each time like a third class citizens.

I would be totally fine if they decide to suddenly disable/end M+ system altogether but as MANY know and some have pointed out above, there will be many players who may decided to leave WoW. Interestingly enough, people do admit this can happen but then also claim that M+ isn’t and should never be as equal as Raids and majority of Players “don’t care” about M+ and yet somehow they are worried players will leave WoW if M+ is gone.

Naw, M+ kept things living longer, giving people more to do, or things to do with a small group of friends that actually feels like progression.

I don’t really have time to dedicate to raiding, but gearing, improving, getting stronger is a core aspect of an rpg. The fact I can do so with 4 of my friends is lovely.

You’re a paladin, no one prioritizes paladins for loot. The FOTM specs get first dibs on gear.

You can make it to where you have a chance of gaining loot from each M+ run just like a raid boss. Once you run that M+ you cannot receive gear from it. But you can still gain valor or a higher score

that’s a weird interpretation of my post, but ok.

to me the main reason would be M+ players join raids and don’t know the boss mechanics

gear scaling to normal raid ilvl is too high

if the gear is separate, m+ players don’t need a way to get tier sets (though I still prefer just removing set bonuses from the game)

realistically raiders who don’t enjoy M+ would quit the game because they can’t get an acceptable amount of loot per week and they’re bored when the raid is cleared

i mainly do m+ but i tried doing raiding to see how their tier is

i got 398 shoulder tier, and i have 395 m+ tier shoulders that i can upgrade

there is legitimately no point for me to raid whatsoever since i do m+ and m+ gear is BETTER than normal/heroic raid gear since i can upgrade it and the only reason i would raid is to get trinkets or rings tbh

Absolutely not. This is exactly what I would expect a mage to say.

Some classes have to lug around more than 1 set for a plethora of reasons. My jack-of-all-trades warrior has a prot set, a fury pve set with single and aoe trinkets, a pvp set for fury, a pvp set for arms, and a pvp set for prot.

You want me to add extra layers to this? No. Thanks. Id rather we homogenize stats and turn armor into cosmetics only long before doing this.

All those reasons you mentioned are complete BS. You made them up.
