Terrible idea.
I like your idea, but the simpler solution would be to host the race on tournament servers.
Then catalyst can be open from the start without any kind of coding for all those pieces in âcrossâ instances.
What the hell did i just read here? Take your meds and donât quote me to write this sort of nonsense.
Raiders are reasonably frustrated, I obviously used to be one, but those still going have tunnel vision. Blizzard is a company, a companyâs end goal is always to make money, and very few people still raid.
Hosting RWF on a tournament server is an excellent idea.
However, Catalystâs delay has nothing to do with RWF. Itâs there to stop M+ from completely dominating the gameâs gearing even more than it already does.
Letâs put it this way, how many folks just wouldnât play WoW if they removed Mythic+?
Is just part of pushing the hardest content, this expansion has been the most relax since WoD when it comes to stuff you need to do outside of raiding to clear mythic. I just run 1 or 2 m+ after raid and Iâm done for the week.
Weak stuff if raiders are complaining about it. As a raider you do whatever gives you an edge, is just part of playing an mmo, if we survived farming 100s of maw in legion, we can tolerate the current status quo.
Itâs the have nots that are complaining.
My response was to that person for what they said with the quote. I havenât hid at all about how much I raid or donât raid anymore. The issue we are discussing is about M+ and Raids suppose to be two paths to the end game progression and how separating them can be a good idea.
And yes, someone talking about how âhardâ it is to have all the buffs, classes and specs for a 20+ person Raid group compare to 5 person group clearly has no idea which one is harder and then the difficulty of Raid vs high keys is another ignorance in their post hence I wrote, what I wrote.
Your âmansplainingâ little jab here is completely irrelevant, ignorant and rest of your post is filled with irony when talking about lecturing others. If thatâs what somehow makes you feel better then hereâs one for you!
Hard disagree. I donât think pvp gear should be separated either, tbh.
And yet somehow raid gear always sims VASTLY above m+ gear. Pls dont waste each others time. Tier, trinkets(both legit and pseudo), hell this season even simple gear is better from raid due to the horrible itemization of the legacy dungeons.
M+ gear only has value by the end of the season when everyone opened the vault 69 times already and every relevant content is already on farm.
During times when gear would be actually needed, the only valid source is the all time raid. S4 was an exception and imo was the most fun season ever.
Right now with valor cap and without tier, m+ gear is mostly ignored unless it is from the vault and it actually is useful.
There is no reason to defend raids. Blizzard was trying to make ppl raid for ages now with outright busted loot tables and by nerfing everything else. It did not work. And it will continue to fail until blizzard finally learns from torghast and start fixing the issues of this endgame mode instead of trying to force it on everyone with all tools available, at the cost of every other endgame content.
I can appreciate the thought and effort you put into this, but I donât agree, at the end of the day.
This would solve the gear issue from the single perspective of feeling forced to grind in content you may not like, but it doesnât solve the core problem in any way. The natural progression of this line of thinking would just be a return to boring stat stick items and universal borrowed power progressions.
Also, itâs quite a bold take to make people who enjoy all facets of PvE to now require multiple sets depending on the content they want to do. You rob their progression for one facet at a time to solve an issue that has better solutions, and is debatably not as much of an issue as itâs made out to be.
Iâll back this up, actually, since I imagine it will be called to question. Just take DKs and the puzzle box.
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/zone/statistics/31#class=DeathKnight&spec=Unholy&combatantinfo=Trinkets&aggregate=amount&boss=2639
People consider this to be a required trinket, yet its efficacy doesnât actually show all that well in all fights (I chose Terros, as easily the least offensive boss for DPS uptime)
I can give you multiple examples of this not being true.
At 372 the talon trinket from uldaman is literally my bis trinket as arcane. Nothing in the raid is better than that trinket.
The NoK trinket feather is bis for multiple classes.
The SMBG trinket is bis for Spriests
In shadowlands.
The WS staff
Pox Storm
Ruby
Are just examples off the top of my head that were bis items.
Yo dawg i heard you like gatekeeping i got you some gatekeeping for your gate
Why is the forum users always doom and gloom about everything, calling it broken, etc.
The game is fine, and gearing is the best its ever been in the history of this game imho.
It really doesnât matter, unless you clear mythic raids or push the highest keys, for the rest of the player base you have 6 months to gear up.
People complain about the valor cap, while they can get upgrades just by pushing higher keys doesnât make much sense.
I mean what other reason do people come to the forums for these days? Itâd be nice if people came to tell stories of good times they had in the game but⌠because of the way people behave itâs quite rare
Itâs rare because there isnât much to gain from discussing positive things. If someone likes something, theyâre a lot less likely to encourage it than they are to discourage something they dislike. Itâs just a byproduct of nature itself.
No, I dislike that idea very much.
The way I gear up with mythic and mythic + for raiding right now is fun.
Its one of the main reasons me and my friends came back to wow. It feels more like rpg.
I would be very inclined to unsub.
Wrote this blog and yet no clue what youre talking about
