It has been long enough

No, I specifically stated only classic characters posting on classic forums. I was quite clear on that part.

The effects are clear for those with basic awareness.

Prior to release of classic, weve seen waves of refailers comming to the classic forum to dump on it, while openly abusing fans of classic. They made numerous statements thier only interest in classic is “tourism” and some have even gone so far to say they are going grief players directly in game.

We still see on a daily basis people comming from refail just to stir and troll forums, which if subs were seperate, they wouldnt be able to do.

And sorry about the refail reference, i have large hands and that T is right next to the F that represents my feeling on refail. No catch phrase intended, just a typo

You are paying one sub, for one game, with 2 different front ends.

Well, you are a known troll, one of the very type this idea is to deal with, so I already ignore your input on classic topics.

Everyone on the forums is considered a troll because nobody’s viewpoints line up lol

I never claimed it was one-sided. If you want a requirement for retail characters on the general retail forum, start a thread there to that effect.

Nah, I like it this way. Every day or two we get that oh so sweet Retail fanboi thread where they try to convince me I’m not having all the fun I’ve been having. The tears of jealousy are so delicious!

this is my highest level classic toon. by your logic it’s okay for me to post and troll about retail because i spent a few days getting this guy leveled? rofl.

I promise you the same thing is going on from classic only people in the retail general forum, and it happens here in these threads too. Almost always people attack or defend their version because they lack any sort of point other than outrage.

I don’t think it would change all that much, I have several classic characters as well as my retail ones, and if people are willing to keep making the same threads 1000 times they’re probably willing to spend 5 hours leveling something so they can keep trolling.

Assuming you mean here on the forums, you can see the realm a player is on for classic characters, but only if you hover over their name, not their portrait

For retail, you can hover over the portrait or the name and it will show along the bottom, for classic characters it only works on their name.

I don’t, I think its a bad solution.

None. I don’t even think there is a level requirement to post on a classic toon anyway since I am fairly certain I have seen sub level 10 posters.

lol, and yet in another thread you dismissed a L10 classic poster because you “suspected” that they only leveled up to 10 to get fake credibility.

So what’s the magic cutoff for someone to be considered an “authentic” classic player? Or is it just a standing rule that anyone below your level is fake?

Deal

Ok, elaborate please, lets see your well reasoned response to WHY it is a bad idea ?

if people can’t post to the classic forums without a classic avatar then they’re okay with not being able to troll GD on their classic main and leveling a toon on retail to a specific level to post there right?

What’s to stop someone from creating a Lv1 on a Classic server, taking up the name, and posting on that?

Hear, hear!

Exactly why its a problem. None of either player base should be doing this.

Refail forum to discuss refail.

Classic forum to discuss classic.

Nothing. I don’t really get the point of all these gatechecks when you should just assume that 90% of the people here are trolling whether they’re level 1 or 120. A lot of the topics make a lot more sense when you look at them through that lens.
