yea so What? I’ve seen people kicked for viewing the dungeon cinematics instead of rushing the dungeon
Wait. There are people mistaking mages for priests? Next thing is gonna be peeps telling shammys to switch off pet taunt. I think…I think I’m just going to sit down for a while.
I got kicked on my holy pally alt in a dungeon because the dps wanted to pull everything instead of letting the tank do his job. He ran much further ahead of the group, died, and I got booted.
Players astound me at times.
I’m surprised that hasn’t happened to me. I always watch it first time around.
I was kicked because the group stood in the fist fury thing of the 2nd boss in Shadowpan Monastery, and they all died. Before I could explain that eating avoidable dmg is bad, I was back in Org. This was back when it was current and we didn’t laughably outgear heroics yet, so obeying mechanics still mattered.
Requeued, same dungeon, fresh group, 0 problems. I had a hard time feeling angry or insulted on that one.
It’s easier to delete things from your mind and the game rather than admit you’re wrong and learn. I’m truly sorry, OP and others.
I have always said that I have never been kicked from a group, which is still true to this day. However, I have also always conceded that it’s going to happen. People do kick for arbitrary reasons. Sometimes they are confused, sometimes they are malicious, and sometimes they just want to go with the crowd. Regardless of the reason, I do believe that “unfair” kicks do happen and will happen to me as they happened to the OP.
Having said that, the vast majority of groups have some degree of honor and genuinely want to just enjoy their run and be good people.
This is when I Evocate and say something like “Rise, and be healed!” in /say, then blame the target for not accepting the rezz.
Tanked an H Atal’Dazar and the group did not know how to manage unstable hex. Was a clusterf**k of stupidity to explain it to them.
That sounds like a good reason to kick.
Many people don’t believe it until it happens. All you can do is laugh. it’s kinda funny.
Well, if im ever in any of you guys groups feel free to offer tips and advice. Sometimes I struggle with remembering each fight since I don’t pve a lot.
Some of us appreciate the help! Don’t stop helping!
I got kicked once for asking the paladin tank to cleanse a disease off a dps once. Didn’t seem to understand that healing druids couldn’t and paladin tanks could.
Well of course, how could I forget the time warp spell, which shifts time back to when the player was alive.
I don’t even remember the last time a dungeon boss needed an explanation. As long as you can avoid stuff on the ground, you pretty much have 90% of the bosses down already.
Totally insane. The unjustified arrogance was so overwhelming that they assumed a helpful comment was a slight. Amazing.
I’m curious how many people automatically vote ‘yes’ when that window pops up?
Feel for you sir or madam. I’ve been booted for less ridiculous things, like sometimes just a single bad pull. One time I asked for a res because my comp was kicking my butt on those flame swirlies, and was kicked as well when the healer was literally right on the other side. People are just jerks. Worst kick on my part of all time, this guy wouldn’t stop calling everyone the N-word, so I initiated a “racist troll” kick that quickly passed, he was being a 'do in just about every way possible. Then once he was kicked the tank said that was his friend and how dare us, so he left and the group broke up. Unfortunate but big deal, you come talking that trash we’ll pull your card, in the words of Easy-E.
Actually had this happen to me when I was leveling my Frost Mage during Legion. Tank kept raging about the pet growling. I wasn’t even using my Water Elemental since I was using the talent. Some people are special though.
Also had a dungeon during Legion, Eye of Azshara I think it was. Only heroic, tank wasn’t mega geared but he was geared enough. Healer was a feral druid who wasn’t healing. We almost wiped when the tank died and they voted to kick the tank for dying and being bad. I laughed and voted no. Unfortunately the vote went through.
I felt bad.
Don’t talk. Just fight.
This is a terrible time to be alive, a-hah!
