It finally happened!

He’s right, groups don’t talk. This game isn’t about forming friendships and working together as a group, it’s a single player game. Players should be treated as npc’s, as that’s all they really are in this lobby game.

Makes sense why I always felt I played with NPC’s during Island Expeditions

I was doing heroic BOD, we getting ready for Jadefire Masters, we were all just standing there. There was a blood DK player next to me with 400K health and I said “400k health? Is this a player or a raid boss?” Everyone laughed, except for the raid leader who said “no joking around” and proceeded to kick me. I couldn’t stop laughing for good 4 minutes.

Yikes. All of these comments just affirmed my decision to leave this game. I could count on one hand the number of toxic groups I’ve dealt with in FF14 over four years, and literally everything except the equivalent of Mythic content in that game is run through the dungeon finder.

Some people are just too special for their own good.

Farewell good sir, and god speed.

When I queue up with randos, I try to keep to myself. Special snowflakes will get upset at the littlest things.

In Legion this was so annoying as an MM hunter with no brez pet or lust.

“Ok guys. Now this next boss is going to try and kill us.”

Don’t talk; Don’t speak. Don’t even sneeze. You think about asking for a rez = /kick. You thank someone for giving you a rez = /kick. Don’t apologize for nothin’!

I’ve never been kicked for saying “Hi” at the beginning of a dungeon though. I’m still waiting to be kicked over that, though finding replacement tanks takes a bit longer these days…

hasnt happened much to me, but it has happened.
I always assume people arent lying until they give me a reason to think they are.

You don’t even need to speak to get kicked.

I forget which alt or class I was on, but running Shadowfang Keep to do my lvl 20 class weapon quest, I got kicked in the first room, because I was from Moon Guard.

Can sound helpful or can sound condescending. Depends on your tone of voice…uhhm. Tone of text is about word selection.

“May I explain this fight for those of you who don’t know it?” or “Everyone knows this fight, right? If not, I can explain =)”. Doesn’t point fingers or imply that they’re dumb.

They must’ve read it as condescending, I guess. Besides what prompted you asking? Were they struggling thru the other parts of the dungeon?

I would have been glad to hear it either way. After the slightest bit of trouble I usually see more along the lines of “How do you guys not know this fight by now?”

How dare you be helpful! Players are supposed to run in without following mechanics! Do you not know how to do dungeons?

The worst reason I was kicked was for calling a pandaren player Panda Express.

I laughed way harder than I should have…

I had to think about it for a long awkward moment. Then I imagined a priest saying “you dope” And then I couldn’t stop laughing

It seems the best way to play this MMO these days is to not engage with anyone…ever.

This is a real life social issue. It will only get worse until extinction. It’s to the point people play the game to NOT talk to people. Very horrible and odd feeling.

It’s a million times worse in HOTS.

If you talk in dungeon and a votekick message appears, just know that i will vote yes.

Had similar happened once, I wasn’t kicked but I got ‘yelled at’ for not ressing someone. First they said “priest res them come on” then i did not respond I was not a priest. Then they said toon name and they started loudly started typing stuff. I was like “I’d love to, but I can’t I am a mage!”
