It’s time to bring this game to PS5, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch!

It is time to bring the award winning DRAGONFLIGHT: World of Warcraft to the PS5, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch!

The reason why your main competitor, the award winning, ENDWALKER: Final Fantasy XIV, is so popular is because it opened up to console players all over the world.

By opening up the world of Warcraft to console players, you will invite a new audience of millions of people who do not play on PC, and this game doesn’t exactly have revolutionary graphics so it should not be too hard to lower the graphics of the game, remove the ray tracing, give it console friendly controls, give them automatic macros that lets console players cast certain spells in sequence in order to remove button bloat, and deliver the award winning DRAGONFLIGHT story to all console players!

Also you can give them a short version of everything that have happened before so they know what they are getting into and incentives for existing players to invite console players into the game.

Let there be an option for PC players to not play with console players (for the PC players who do not want to play with console players) if they don’t want to. Because if they don’t want to play with them, we cannot force them to, or else they will troll the console players to oblivion.

Let’s face it, no matter how many awards this game can win, it will never regain all of the lost subscribers from their past. The only fast way to get millions of new players and millions of new money is to open the game to new markets, the console market.

By not opening the game to the console market, you are depriving them of the right to experience the award winning DRAGONFLIGHT story and that is a grave injustice and a tremendous loss to all!

Umm, you had me until this. I see what you did there. I think. I hope.

Lol why? Console is replaced so frequently and then blizzard would have to get deals to be on their networks. Given console fps and all the key binding needed you’d have a bunch of terrible players lagging all over the place.

No thank you. This is a prime example of you think you do but you don’t that’s 100% legit a terrible idea.

Maybe when wow has 3-4 button rotation. The arthritis developed from how crazy you’d have to use a control…

Just use a PC…

I don’t know what specs would work. Maybe ret paladin and BM hunter, I don’t see a way to make healing possible. Maybe they could make something like pres evoker where you move around to heal but now all heals depend on where you are and not who you’re targeting (with friendly nameplates turned on).

Why would somebody play on console, knowing that they’re at a permanent disadvantage against everyone else, in everything?

It’s not like a computer that can run WoW will break your piggy bank. WoW is designed to run on a potato.

The solution to button bloat is automatic macros that cast spells in sequence and console friendly controls.

And a warning for certain specializations for console players that this is a “more difficult” specialization to play, but you will be surprised how skilled console players can be when you really push them to the limits of their controller.

A lot of console players will just refuse to play on PC. That is just how it is, and there isn’t a problem with that.

Thinking that this game can only be on PC is an old way of thinking.

No innovation has ever happened by staying with the old ways forever. Push innovation, that is the only way to survive.

This…it only works for FFXIV because it’s never had addons.

Lol sure I’m fine with it running on consoles…but as much as I love and play my switch, it is NOT likely even capable of playing WoW past leveling and LFG/R content (if the game runs at all).

That doesn’t even begin to touch on addons and how they are effectively needed to play this game (again in content that actually even semi matters) and be even moderately competent at it.

Yeah there is absolutely no way the Switch could handle this game in a playble state. And even if it could, you need a KB+M to play this game. Yes, controller functionality exists and it works alright for some specs in solo content. It does not work in group content, especially for tanking and healing.

With Microsoft now owning Blizzard, I could see them push to make WOW available on the Xbox. Doubt it would ever go to the Playstation since Sony is their biggest competitor. The Switch? Lol! That thing ain’t got the hardware to run WOW. I was playing Pokemon Violet the other day and it was chugging in some areas and I was playing in Offline Mode. Yeah, no, the Switch couldn’t handle a game like WOW. Also, can’t forget you’d be trying to run WOW through the Switch Online service which Nintendo has never been good at online stuff.

May we could use the vr headset for PS5 and id finally be able to get the screen big enough for my old eyes to see without bifocals?

I poured a shot for every time the words “award winning” were used.

WwwwhheeEEeeee… :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Don’t forget that this game is an online only game.

So this game can be streamed onto the Nintendo Switch as a Cloud Version only game with heavily reduced graphics (cost saving).

That’s not playing it on the Switch though, that’s just using the Switch as a display. “Streaming” doesn’t count as playing a game as far as I’m concerned.

Plus, streaming the game to any platform is a violation of the terms of use.

Anyway, noone would ever play this game on a console because they’d be at an extreme disadvantage wtihout addons.

Consoles are replaced by better consoles. They would just play the same or more stable.

Console FPS for the current gen is 60fps, which they could very easily do in this game… probably even do 120… and the supposed “PS5 PRO” would be able to.

As far as needed keybinds, it would just require some kind of revamp. XIV did this because of button bloat. It’s cool to push buttons but some people don’t like having 50 40 buttons to press.

I think rules can be changed, and they will be changed if they wanted it to and it benefits them.

Rules are just a “soft” lock and not a hard lock.

As for the Nintendo switch, the real question is, how low can we go in terms of graphics if streaming is not an option? Again, this game is not exactly revolutionary in graphics.

But streaming is an option because rules is just a “soft” lock and not a hard lock.

Actually, a lot of console games are dropping to 30fps because the hardware can’t handle it.

The game is very CPU and RAM intensive because of how big the draw distance and things like that are. Even reducing settings to bare minimum would probably not be enough for the Switch to run it.

And even so you would still need a keyboard and mouse for the vast majority of specs (plus healing). Not impossible of course, modern consoles have USB and support keyboards and mice just fine.

That’s because they’re either 1) playing in fidelity mode with ray-tracing or 2) the game engine is so advanced. WoW’s engine is old enough to where I guarantee it could handle 60 fps just fine. FFXIV is more demanding on the system and on PS5, frame rates are stable, especially if you chose balanced mode. No need to game in full 4K. It just makes your GPU work very hard for little gain.

This, I absolutely agree with. Switch’s hardware struggles to run most ports. The rumored “Switch 2” may be able to run it at full HD, unless it’s specs blow us away in surprise.

As far as the rules, Blizzard does not want third parties running the game for you and “streaming” game footage. There is no way Blizzard themselves would set something like this up either, so they aren’t going to change that rule.
