I don’t care about cloud-gaming… I have zero interest in it. I’d just be happy if they allowed it locally. I install it on my console, etc.
You forgot the iPad.
Whoa, whoa, hey! Let’s not get crazy here! Next thing you know, someone will suggest porting WoW to…to…to PHONES.
I don’t have a lot of console experience in the last decade or so. Do you think an xbox client could be complicated enough to handle 20+ hotkeys on a controller? how would that work?
Frankly I don’t have any interest in this since it would likely impact other platforms. I play on a mac (I’ll never spend my money on a PC again, thank god) and since MS’s name entered these conversations I’ve been living in fear that they’ll just drop mac support entirely.
And god, I so do not want another xbox in my life. Threw the last one out quite happily when my kids got tired of it.
Jokes aside, it would be suggested. That or the guy who made that mobile Diablo game nobody wanted would say “Hey guys, I have a great idea…” at the dev table.
In XIV, you have a key on each of the buttons “Square, Circle, Triangle, X”, you’d have 4 more when you hold L2, you’d have 4 more when you hold R2, you’d have 4 more when you hold L2 then hold R2, you’d have 4 more when you hold R2 then hold L2.
It sounds weird but it works extremely well. I save the “hold both RT and LT” buttons for the abilities that are very niche, or my mount, etc.
I’m pretty sure FF was designed very early on to be compatible with console.
Yeah, this is the part that got me. I don’t mean to imply that it’s too complicated–I just couldn’t see how it would work
thanks for the information!
You realize all modern consoles have USB ports and take mouse and keyboard input, right? Or are you like, oblivious to basic life facts and shiz?
Many games manage just fine with lag.
Do you want Dead Retail or players?
No it isn’t. The world is going to be just fine if WoW never comes to consoles.
If you’re going to use a mouse and keyboard then just use a computer. They can play all the games a console has. Lol. What’s the point?
Affordability, ease of play? Computers can have compatibility issues due to shaz software and idiot users. You can’t duck up clicking PLAY on a console.
Console players would be at a disadvantage due to a lack of addons so to keep it “fair” they would probably need separate servers.
Lots of console players would be casuals that wouldn’t even see the inside of a dungeon. You don’t need mods to quest.
If you do, you suck borthole.
This game is fine for now.
But it could be better by opening their doors to console players.
Businesses that don’t innovate will go out of business. You may not agree and/or like it, but that is just how it is.
When the person invented “Mother’s Day”, it was intended to honor their mother, but the flowers industry innovated and turned “Mother’s Day” into the day where you buy flowers, and then other industries innovated and turned “Mother’s Day” into a day where people buy things for their mother. Eventually, the person who invented Mother’s Day wanted to cancel Mother’s Day because the original intention was changed and was denied.
Businesses saw the opportunity to open its doors to more customers, so guess what they did? They opened their doors and got more money!
The old way of thinking where you can’t do this, can’t do that, will only drive innovation out the window and the business out of business!
I didn’t read the OP but there’s absolutely no reason why world of warcraft shouldn’t be on any of the consoles.
Diablo 4 placing the use pass close to the play button says hi.
Can do more with a computer than a console. Buy one computer or three different consoles for a bunch of games you get on steam. Likewise I fail to see how a computer is harder to play when consoles are throttled to allow performance to be maintained.
PC Diablo 4 my horse is always faster then my console buddies. They’d talk about that quite often. None of them will play wow no matter what it’s on. None of the new gen wants to play an MMO it’s too much time investment and the attention span too short for most raised by iPads.
Wow wouldn’t run well on a console, the damn thing barely runs well on a PC after maintenance day lol
I’d pay to see the blunder of it trying to play well. It would gain users from curiosity that would quit or buy a computer to play it correctly and far better.
So they buy the game pay the sub fee and just have to accept that they will be at a disadvantage in PvP and in PvE? The amount of complaints that would cause would be hilarious.
wow will not hit the consoles for few things
the sub fee remember fo76 and eso had subs on top of paying to play to use the consoles for online.
for the second the add on sony is anti add on/mods microsoft is for the add ons/mods
It’s not about that, it’s about getting bodies in the door to get them addicted so that they either just pay the sub and pay for future content for us.
Or they bite the bullet and buy a PC worth twice or three times the value of a PS5 or w/e
We just want more bodies.
