Recently I made a point that there is an issue regarding countless customers being unable to create Allied Race.
When contacting your customer support, it took him more than an hour of sending me Wowhead links and ‘checking’ before admitting to me that it is a known issue and also that he could have checked my achievement on his side.
Why did he waste my time sending me wowhead making me thinking I did something wrong, when he have already checked my achievement and known it is a bug?
Why are the players suffering for paying for the game?
Your GM told me to do something else. Ain’t that kind of irresponsible especially when we paid for the game time?
When it is an issue caused on the development side, I find it irresponsible that Blizzard is just going to ask people to wait for the next patch. I understand that it takes time for the patch to happen. While all their friends are progressing in the game, Blizzard expects the affected players to wait patiently for weeks? (mind you the issues was reported weeks ago)
Are we paying for the monthly subscription to wait to be able to play? Some of us wanted to create a new Toon to start from scratch. Do not do something so irresponsible as to ask us to create a random toon that will be discarded after the patch is up. That is like people paying for the GYM membership and were told the GYM will be closed for the new few weeks.
So after pointing out the issues, I was told countless times to post on the report a bug section. Did it help any of the affected players? Nope, the issue is still here after almost 2 weeks. The affected players were just constantly told to wait.
So what am I actually paying for? I was made clear to either wait, to refund if I am unhappy. I can refund ShadowLand but not the game time. There are so many things wrong with this paragraph.
I was made clear there is no compensation. Blizzard could have asked affected players to create a toon and gift them a race change after the patch is up, but everything is about money right now. Of course they want the bug to be present to force people to buy the race change. That is now how business should be.
I was sent a warning that my posts might be taken down, forum account might be suspended. Apparently voicing out is an offense now. All I did was to go around telling people Blizzard’s response. Well since we players were constantly ignored, what else can we do?
Forgot to add. In the first 1.5 hours of conversation, is the GM sending me links and asking me to check stuff. the last 10min is him saying he GTG and left the chat abruptly when I ask if he could remove the newcomer chat (some say this is causing the bug.)
So a bug happens. Blizzard’s response is that we can either deal with it or refund. Wait for weeks for it to be fixed while we can just ‘do something’ else.
Oh, we can also be directed to a forum where they just push everything aside and pretended nothing happen.
Blizzards not ignoring it they even have a fix but it wont go live till tues reset. This is also the wrong forum to vent or complain general is the best place for vent/complaints.
As much as Blizzard would like, they are unable to snap their fingers and fix all bugs in a blink of an eye.
Bugs take time to find what is causing them, create a potential fix, test that fix, and release it to the general public. They do not wish to release a fix, for it to only cause more problems.
A bug that sadly, is awaiting a game patch to fix.
Hopefully you have no more tickets, as sadly this is out of the game staffs hands
You are paying for access to the servers, not any particular server or character. I get you would like to start a particular character. I have seen your numerous posts, so know you are very passionate about this issue, hopefully a resolution can be found soon.
I am afraid so. If it were easy to fix, it would have been. Sadly it likely was not, required time to fix.
If the development staff decided that compensation was in order, it likely would not be offered until after the issue was fixed. You may want to offer feedback in the game to this suggestion.
If you wish to provide feedback about the response you received, Chakomoo, please fill out the survey that will become available when your ticket is marked as resolved.
To be clear, we’re not asking folks to wait for the next patch. There is a fix in the works that is intended to go in this Tuesday, as outlined in the Support Article.
Since we have a resolution that is intended to take effect this Tuesday after maintenance, I’d say yes, yes it did.
I am sorry for the frustration this may have caused you, Chakomoo. Unless you are seeking a refund though, I’d ask that you close your newest ticket. There isn’t anything that we’ll be able to do to resolve the issue outside of the timeframe provided.
