Issue with Training wings

I am unable to continue the campaign of Dragonflight because i cannot get the quest “training wings” even tho that’s what the next step is in my quest log and it doesn’t say anything about needing more renown, the NPC simply doesn’t give me the quest where it says I can pick it up on the map. The character is on this account and named Thoremus

As this is brand new, I would not be surprised if this gets moved to the quest forum, but have you followed the quest line on wowhead?

Hi all

I present You Storyline In Defense of Life. This Storyline is part of Waking Hope which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Storyline in order I done it:

1. For the Benefit of the Queen - Speak with Majordomo Selistra 55 30.9 then He will take you to Queen 62.3 72.9 , You need to speak with Her and Movie will start
2a. The Mandate of the Red - Speak with 4 NPC in order: 60.7 74 Xius, 59.4 72.4 Akxall, 61.5 68.7 Mother Elion and 62.7 70.4 Zahkrana. Don’t do Training Wings Pick it up but go first to do Dragonriding.
2b. Dragonriding - Speak with Lord Andestrasz to get Your DRAGON MOUNT ! After conversation You will get Renewed Proto-Drake and learn Dragonriding. Now every time You use Renewed Proto-Drake Dragonriding will be activated.
4. How to Glide with Your Dragon - Use Renewed Proto-Drake then jump off the platform and fly through the circles then land 57.4 59.1 when you will finish quest NPC will teleport You back. When You press jump button You will fly up, Skill 1 Is going fast forward and ect. FROM THIS QUEST IS START GUIDE HOW TO USE DRAGONS FLY.
5. How to Dive with Your Dragon - Use Renewed Proto-Drake then jump off the platform and fly through the circles then land 57.4 59.1 when you will finish quest NPC will teleport You back. Reward Bronze Timepiece
6. How to Use Momentum with Your Dragon - Use Renewed Proto-Drake then jump off the platform and fly through the circles then land 57.4 59.1 when you will finish quest NPC will teleport You back. Reward Bronze Timepiece
7. The Skytop Observatory - Use Renewed Proto-Drake then jump off the platform and fly through the circles then land 75.1 55 and speak with Lord Andestrasz.
8. A New Set of Horns - Use Rostrum of Transformation 74 58.1 is a platform on ground big but i did not see at start xD. Reward Rostrum Cipher Now You can costomize Your Dragon.
9. Dragon Glyphs and You - Collect Dragon Glyph 74.3 57.5 is over ground then speak with Lithragosa ( 2nd option ) to open dragon skills now you can learn new skill. After all speak with Celormu.
10. Return to the Ruby Lifeshrine - Fly to Queen Alexstrasza the Life-Binder 62.3 72.9.
11. Training Wings - Now You can go back to this Quest. Use Ruby Whelpling to Kill: 12 Agitated Weedling, 6 Intrusive Pupstinger and 1 Relentless Gust. I use instant kill 1 for killing and skill 2 to move lower lever to get to other mobs.
12. Who Brought the Ruckus? - Follow Alexstrasza the Life-Binder to 59.6 72.5 Movie will start.
13. The Primary Threat - Fly to Commander Lethanak 59.4 75.9
14. Basalt Assault - Slay 4 Enraged Cliff 59.2 78.2 , 60.9 77.7 , 57.7 76.3 are 2 of them. During this Quest You can do Clear the Battlefield auto Quest.
15a. Egg Evac - Rescue 4 eggs: Azure Egg 57.3 83.2, Bronze Egg 56.1 81.2, Ruby Egg 55 81, Emerald Egg 55.3 83.2
15b. Proto-Fight - Kill 3 Elite Proto-dragons use Ruby Spear for pull and extra dmg to kill them fast.
17. Cut Off the Head - Kill Jadzigeth 53.5 83.4 Use Ruby Spear to do it fast then Movie will start.
18. Exeunt, Triumphant - Fly to 46.1 78.3 and speak with Majordomo Selistra Video will start, Storyline will finish after that.

Main Rewards During This Storyline are: Renewed Proto-Drake, learn using Dragons Skills and Costomize them, As well You will Get Renewed Proto-Drake: Spined Tail, Renewed Proto-Drake: Subtle Horns, Renewed Proto-Drake: Finned Crest, Renewed Proto-Drake: Curved Horns.

From what I can see, Amella is phased for your character, preventing you from picking up that quest.

You might try completing quests around that area to see if she unphases. It might just be temporary due to another quest. If not, please post in the Bug Report forum so our QA team can take a look.

Just ran into the same issue. Any chance you were able to make it work? Amella is present for me, but is standing near Alexstrasza without any quest options.

Did u folow vrak advice and try clearing the quests in the area.

I found that once I did the first part of the Whelpling Nursery Amella showed up and had the quest.

I have the same issue. I see Amella but she is in a different location that wowhead says and does not give any quests. I cleared the quests in the area and complete all the prerequisite quests … Dunno what to do at this point. This is blocking me from continuing the main story line

You appear to have Whelptender’s Wisdom in your quest log.

Adrith indicated that once they completed the first part of the Whelpling Nursery Amella showed up. Maybe try and finish that quest?

As another fix. Drop the Whelptender’s quest and pick it up after you’re done. This worked for me.
