I came back and used the gear catchup function before logging in. the items got deleted from my mailbox and I can’t use the item restore function online to get them back. I just get a generic error message.
I contacted support via a ticket and they tell me that the items were disenchanted or something and I don’t have the mats to restore them. and now it’s been so long trying to work with support via the ticket that the items are no longer available on the item restore list.
I’m just looking for some support in getting the items back, it shouldn’t be this hard to get some help.

Unfortunately the GMs have the same list u do and if you cant see them they cant. The mailbox has never been ment to be used a extra bank.

I didn’t use it as storage. I used the gear catchup option with the new xpac and then deleted the mail it sent me with all my gear and bags from my character by mistake. this all happened in the span of about an hour.
the issue is the item restore function is broken and not working. and because of that and the run around with support the items aren’t available anymore.
I think I need a bit more information, Chewymentos.
I assume the character you are referring to is the one you are posting on?
When did you use the Gear Update? I don’t see any recent use of that feature. It sounds like what may have happened is you previously used the Gear Update feature, the equipment you had on your character would have been sent to your mailbox, but maybe you didn’t remove all of the items from the mailbox before it expired.
Either way, I’m afraid we can only restore items found in the deleted inventory, like you, we cannot see them in your deleted list and therefore, we’ll be unable to restore them for you. Sorry.
I’m sorry, but there isn’t any record of that mail available.

I think the way you are understanding the issue is incorrect. none of what you are stating is actually the issue here.
I had the gear update feature when I restored my account with the new xpac. which states it will give you xyz gear for lvl 70 and new bags. it will then mail you all your gear.
those mail go deleted by mistake an hour after I logged in. this all happened the same day within an hour.
When I go to restore the items that were deleted, I get a general error message with no details for the error message. I attempted multiple times from different devices.
I opened a ticket with support. they told me to go through all the same things I already did. I did them again, and again. with no change. I provided a list of the items and a screen shot of the message. they then told me that the items were disenchanted and they can’t be restored. however, the items were not disenchanted or sold, but deleted from my mailbox.
they then told me that nothing can be done and to just deal with it. but from here the issue is a bug and not something I did here. if the items were available to be restored via the process in place, then they should be available to be restored. I don’t get an error message or any reason why. I can’t restore all of them or any one item at a time. nothing works.
Now as it stands, the ticket is not allowing me to add any more responses to it, I’m not getting support. and basically being told to kick dirt because of a programing bug in a tool built for the players. and waiting for responses from support has taken so long that the items are not on the list anymore.
I’m here just looking for some support on getting the items back, that is all.
Thing is you wont get support via forums only.via tickets the blues here cant help you.

Did you try the mail restore function, instead of item restore?
Though you still didn’t say when the gear boost took place. I’m not sure how long these mails stay in the system, but it’s possible they are unrecoverable as well if it’s been too long.
Unfortunately you were the one to delete the mail and the records arent infinite, it may just be too much time has passed.
But hopefully mail restore has something there for you.

This all happened from the 9/20/24 to present.
I just tried the mail restore option and nothing is available for any character. even ones I know I deleted mail from tonight.
What Vrak is saying in the first part of their reply is that there is no record of you using the gear update on the character you are posting with.
Thus, if the gear update wasn’t used, there’d be no mail containing the old gear, and therefore nothing in the mail restore or item restore.

Well that is factually incorrect. I used that feature, I got 4 letters worth of stuff. and it got deleted. It was showing in the item restore. however, I was working with support and because of the time between response, the items are now gone from the list of available item restorations.
When talking with the support they also tried to restore the items, however they were not able to restore them as well because it stated they were disenchanted. but the items didn’t state they were disenchanted, just deleted.
Look, the bottom line is this: There isn’t records of the items being there and isn’t any records of the gear upgrade being used recently. Records of it being used ain’t kept forever. And the mail system itself has a short shelf-life when it comes to data storage.
If the GMs can’t see the items, nor can the blues here can’t see it, then there isn’t anything to restore. They can’t magic up the items without proof on their end in their system beforehand.
