Isnt WoW WELL past surprise server shutdowns without notice or without explination?

In the customer service thread they admit that the wrong banner was updated for maintenance. They posted the maintenance to TBC PTR.

Classic TBC Servers down with no notice, again!

But…they do. For Maintenance, which this is, they do give an estimated time. That time can change, obviously, but they do give an ETA. It is on the launcher and CS Twitter. No, the engineers, server folks, Devs, etc. have nothing to do with the communications sides of the house. Even the public facing roles are handled by several different groups.
