Isn’t it odd the Torghast timer isn’t explained

New feature and there’s literally nothing from blizzard explaining it. I guess quality control and customer satisfaction are out the window these days

Not to mention, thanks to their new systems, you can kill every single mob, urn, and mawrat as you complete torghast, but still loose due to the convoluted scoring system.

Blizzard relies heavily on third party sites to explain their systems. I sometimes suspect it’s because there’s so little internal communication that nobody fully understands how any of these newer, more convoluted systems work.

Remember blizzard once said they didn’t like reforging because it was too complicated for players.

Blizz has become complacent that 3rd party websites will creates guides in their place to explain everything and its sad.

And they wanted us to be able to just equip drops without fussing with them.

What they say their goal is, and what they do, are very, very different things.

Yeah the timer is really weird because its just there. I mean i assume the faster i do it the better? But they dont really give you a par time to go against so its just…there. Which BTW as long as you kill everything and open every pot, you get 4 star completion. I solo it as a warrior tank and takes like 10 min a floor and still get 4 star.

gogogo mentality says “sup?” once again…

-_- never learn…

With how many systems are win place that seems like a recipe for disaster

I thought they said they had no plans to put a timer on torghast anyway?

What is with the sudden shift?

That’s not true. You must have done some of the mystery achievements as well, like not equipping an epic skill, or killing 2 elite mobs at the same time. Completing it will only get you 3 stars

why should they create the guides themselves? there’s a massive fan base that’s already doing it for free.

I suspect the whole idea was hamstrung with conflicting requirements.

They wanted a performance metric but without a m+ like hard timer and also be easy enough that you can always complete it.

How do you do that?

The timer is almost irrelevant, as the bulk of your points come from completion and bonus objectives. Hell completion counts for up to 100 of the 160 points you need. After that you can get the rest with good use of the empowered bonus and the bonus objectives.

The decision to make it timed baffles me. Not only does it introduce yet another wall less geared players have to overcome (M+ and now Torghast), it removes any fun that terrible place had to offer.

See it’s probably a combo of this and they frankly don’t have internal communication on these systems and what they do

The beta testers & theorycrafter will explain it for them, Blizzard is arguably scummier than EA in this aspect.

Dude, I did Torghast on my 205 rogue alt and still got 170+ in both wings. The time isn’t an issue, matter of fact between the four runs on my main (2 solo to learn the system, 2 with my ground of firends) and then 2 on my rogue I think the best timer score I had was 21 points. On a run that I got 192, meaning even without the timer I would still have had a score of 172.

People also need to keep in mind this is week one. Every week we are going to get more and more powerful while it doesn’t. Eventually it will be trivial content just like it use to be.

How many times are people going to make these threads. Be proven wrong. Ignore advice like children and keep on whining?

Nope. Not odd at all.
