I’m just tired of having to use wowhead to look up every single freaking item that goes in my bags in Dragonflight.
Everything in-game is so convoluted, bloated, and vague this expansion.
Just buying a mount from one of the new zone vendors requires exchanging 3 different kinds of currency… WHY Blizz?

Yes it is. Incredibly so. This game is a nightmare for any fresh player or someone returning. Not only that, but combat readability is very poor in both dungeons and raids. Not to toot Classic, but that game in a lot of ways is far more accessible than Retail WoW. Like, the whole arms race between addon developers and WoW designers has put WoW into such an inaccessible spot.
A very base thing is talent trees. They had an opportunity to simplify class kits, streamline them, modernize them, and incorporate a new class-focused talent tree that removed unwieldy specializations. What do they do? A million specialization trees on top of class trees. I don’t get it. Just every little thing added to the game now has to have this complexity to it.
It’s not “offering 415s in heroics” it’s ONE 415 a week lmao.
Yeah, it definitely is far more overcomplicated these days than it used to be… Essentially during MoP, the game could have been considered to be at it’s most simplest form…
- Simple talents screen
- Simple crafting screen
- No M+ or M0, just Heroics and standard Dungeons
- LFR for those who couldn’t get into a basic Raid
- Simple Reputation grinds
- No convoluted factions to worry about and guides to go with them
Now? Let’s turn WarCraft into WarHammer: 40,000 levels of complexity and see how that goes…

You’re damn right it has, especially now, with all these timed events where you are asked to make yet ANOTHER character to participate? Lame.
It is very bloated. As someone who likes to go back and do old content for fun at my own pace, all the various currencies are the worst.
I think there should be 1 currency across all xpacs. Like Bronze in the MOP Remix. They almost kept it to just one currency (minus the new Garrosh heirlooms), which has been perfect.
If there are raid items that need an extra currency just attach them to achievements.
Cutting down some of the bloat is a good idea.

It’s not complicated, it’s just bloated. There are way too many currencies this expansion and most of them don’t even go into the currency tab. It’s just obnoxious to constantly have to sort bags because there’s 8500 currencies in there.
Also the crafting mats are super bloated as well. There’s just too many and too many ranks of each one. They take up way too much room.

Ig the forum parole officers aren’t awake yet to report you for nEcRoInG
Oh, you’re one of those guys who spends all day on the forums, ready to take jabs at anyone who participates in a thread that hasn’t been addressed in the last 48 hours. Get a hobby.
And the post is still relevant.
A fresh game, a new experience, that’s the only way to get a breath of fresh air! They have the money and the resources. Eventually, all these timed events and “Classic” whatevers are going to burn out.
I don’t get the game industry as it is. The plague seems to have bred bloat via cosmetic additions and remasters.
It’s obviously too bloated and overly complicated. The fact you need a bunch of addons just to understand the game and for it to be playable kinda proves that
Short answer: Yes it’s an mmorpg and very very bloated with lots of things from the entire games lifespan.
The game does need to be streamlined and all the content needs to come together.
I don’t think WoW itself has become too bloated and/or too complicated.
Lots of options equals lots of playstyles accommodated which is a good thing.
But I do think Blizzard has chosen to unnecessarily over-complicate questing and things that were fine as simple side progressions like professions, achievements and collecting.
I am waiting to see them do this to the Trading Post because they can’t seem to not fix what isn’t broken.
The currencies are a little out of hand, but the profession system is a HUGE improvement. It needed some complexity.
I do not. I think that’s you baby
