I think Blizz should rework LFR to be a sort of raiding proving grounds. Solo content that teaches you the basic mechanics of the fights. Just you and 9 other NPCs… or join as a group.

I’ve said the same thing many times and to make it so you can’t just afk and get gear, if you’re a healer you need to heal, if you’re a dps you need to kill the trash and if you’re a tank you must use defensive cd’s appropriately and at the end of the wing you’re awarded with a single piece of gear or that expansions AP.

LFR should be a solo que where you’re awarded ap/one piece of loot at the end of the wing.

I’ve been arguing the point that they should remove the pretense of an introduction to raiding with lfr by making it a solo que where if you tank the damage to take helps bring down the boss and dangerous enough that you need to know when to pop cds. If you’re a healer the healing you do brings the bosses hp down and of course the damage you do as a dps class brings the bosses hp down while being grouped the with lore characters that are supposed to be tackling the big bad of the moment. It makes sense from a lore perspective and would prevent AFK’ing lfr and would require engagement to complete.
