Anyways
There is hope on the horizon. Blizz is now Activision. Expect things to change over the next few years so us older players won’t even recognize the game anymore
My hopes rest with former ceo of Blizz Michael morheim and his new company and former wow Devs
 Dreamhaven.

May have to wait awhile before any news comes out.

imo i think so.

i feel like they are trying way to hard to get new players to the point they are losing long term players people we’d consider “vets”. i mean just because it’s an old game doesn’t mean you can’t make GOOD content. it’s like me i work as a cook im given piss poor ingredients that doesn’t mean i can’t take those ingredients and make a damn good meal out of it. i aint got to buy fancy wagyu beef to impress someone as it’s all in the art.

another example would be you could make the dish look good BUT doesn’t mean it will taste good.

I mean killing her would just make her stay permanent in Shadowlands. I suppose that’s the overall goal, but I think they’re going to redeem her somehow. Something with a bittersweet ending on her part with Nanathos.

Yeah retail wow is pretty much dead to me at this point. I had such high hopes for shadowlands, and especially Torghast, but it’s just so unbelievably bad. The first 3-4 weeks were good, but then the realities of the game set in and it was a terrible realization.

Systems on top of systems on top of time gates and systems inside of time gated systems. The absolute antithesis of anything considered rational enjoyment called the Maw, that which drains any essence of joy from my very being.

Covenants are awful, unbalanced trash. The stories are ok, but they’re far too short - which is why they were so extremely heavily time gated.

Conduits and soulbinds are stupid. Conduit Time Gate Energy is the dumbest, most anti-fun mechanic in any MMO I’ve ever seen. It’s literally a mobile gacha game mechanic, but for a pay to play sub fee MMO.

Everything is just so bad. The entire legendary system is a means simply for gaining more gold token purchases, as players will need legendary items which are player crafted that are super expensive. It’s just a money printing system disguised as a video game.

Agree the story is straight clown anymore, I can’t even follow it, its just one cosmic power to the next. And somehow we’re in the literal afterlife like w0t m8
just seems like a ghetto azeroth to me, super boring with a big feeling of disconnect. WoW needs to be more grounded, its too silly now.

Anything with sylvanas in it is just trolling like who writes this trash.

On topic of grind, Blizz completely killed alts and is super punishing to play them with borrowed power in the game these days and apparently forever now.

BINGO! Got my GD bingo!

Nice, grats dude.

I’m feeling not excited to log on anymore. Every day “defend this” OK get over there swarms of people everywhere defending whatever zone it is that day. For three WQ’s frantic people shooting everything in sight just to get done faster than anyone else. Why? because none of those matter, no story, no reasonable reason why they have to be done
every day. Look at the renown vendors
oh gee I’ve been doing this everyday and have 900 anima and you want 3500 just for a cosmetic back piece that looks hideous. And my “table” of bouncing circles with faces in them
suck up anima, everything does. EVERYTHING

I don’t like the way the covenants quests are set up to be just one horrid way to even get there to start them. Other than the terrain artists wanted me to experience every blocked way, tower, stone, mass of trash
then a story. A short one. Ok thanks your done to you do those same ole quests every day to give us more whatever anima is. Don’t ask just get it.

I guess I just need a longggg break but I’m finding the writing, a lot of the voice acting is just cringe and some of those trash mob voices sound like an angsty teenager yelling. Big rare, scrawny kid voice “I’m gonna get you” or whatever it makes me think a kid will appear eventually. I guess maybe it is not for me anymore finally

I wouldn’t dislike the Sylvie storyline so much but since I have to grind 9 chapters x how many alts u wanna play
That’s a lot of sylvanas face time. Way to much. She’s gonna double cross the jailer? A titan++. Not only is he a titan Devs said he’s twice as powerful as a titan but somehow Sylvie is gonna trick him and save squishie mortal anduin? Cant we just go home to azeroth and hear horde drums and kill gnomes in wsg

This question has been asked after the release of EVERY xpac. Is WoW finally dead? Conan is going to kill off WoW! Aion is going to destroy WoW! WarHammer is gonna kill WoW! This new hardcore raiding game is going to kill WoW! And on, and on and on.

WoW is not dying, and it isn’t “killing itself off”.

Shadowlands has all sorts of issues, but so has every other xpac. This game will probably be around another decade or more. And if they port us to a WoW 2 in the future it go go on much longer.

Devs did mention there is another side of azeroth. Another hemisphere if u will. I always imagined gnomes making a nuke like device that goes off and we all have to evacuate azeroth
Like how orcs came through the portal
We all go through a portal and face a third faction type thing. But nooooo
We are in the land of the dead and its so dumb. So whete does all the stuff go that we kill in shadowlands
Is there another shadowlands behind shadowlands
Or do they just become mawrats

I wonder that too. So the stuff we kill instantly goes to the maw
so that means that none come to the cov. areas
where are they coming from? Since they are supposed to be gone when their dead, but they are dead already, now they are in the maw. So how come there are still tons of them there in the shadow lands. Are they being reanimated or what?? just one of a bunch of things I can’t make sense out of how they work.

Maybe Shadowlands is actually like purgatory
so there is some version of heaven/hell, we just haven’t found it yet. The Maw must be close though!

it has been for awhile and its blizzards own fault.

That would be neat
But next xpac we are heading to Shadowlandria to kill all the stuff we killed in shadowlands. The new ad for Shadowlandria will be “all the dead stuff but grindier!”

WoW will lose players, but it will gain more too. I don’t see it dying off anytime soon.

It’s been that way since the beginning/middle of Wrath. It just took actiblizz time to kick out all the old guard from the leader seats.
