I swear 2 weeks ago there was thousands of ppl in org I couldn’t see my own char… now there is maybe 30 and 10 at bg area.
WTH is going on? did I waste my time leveling a wow char again?

cata hype, people are realizing classic cata will be better than sod. All the bad things about classic wow are still in sod and people are sick of that. Zero testing, no balance and wild nerfs all the time.
Imagine starting as a hunter, don’t even get to play lvl 25 for a day and two of your main abilites get nerfed to complete trash. I 100% agree they needed tuning, but i think it was a 90% nerf to ES and cant remember chim shot but they were both hammered so far below BM all hunters went bm.
Then pet A got nerfed into the ground, then we all leveled pet B. That pet got nerfed to the ground. Then they made melee hunters insanely better than ranged or BM.
This was a bunch of specs/classes lives all of sod so far.
Exploit early and exploit often is the motto for sod. Anyone with a job lost out massively on gold start of this phase.

Sods fine its the middle of p3 people are raid logging an playing cata cata will die in a month or 2 then p4 sod will more than likly come out

no, you have cata, retail, and remix all getting recent updates pulling away overlaping player bases. people will return for phase 4.

Cata was immediately more fun in the first 30 minutes. Completely different demographic.
Everyone in SoD is tired and angry. Also can’t stand hearing children over Comms when I’m playing a video game. You got toddlers you have no business being in front of this game.
The average Cata player seems to be under 30 and high energy.

today at noon central - d4 pops off a new season, granted diablo 4 lost alot of gamers with the sucky last season but this season looks to be really good. The few people that play SoD in my guild said they are going to D4 today.
Later this week its Panda SOD - I wont even know where to split my game time, D4 or Panda SoD… regardless theres is no time for this dead game (they needed to to add at least 2 raid zones this phase if they put in that dumb 7 day lock out) or even AV would have been something but there is nothing to do in SoD anymore until “next phase”

Maybe, but you’re not accounting for the OG Cata players either. Even at 41 I’m bouncing between retail, classic, and SWtOR. Not to mention I’m also grinding the CoDv season pass (even though this will most likely be my last season playing CoD). Even though imo Cata was mid compared to Wrath, I’d prefer Mist over Cata because there’s where I hit my top PVP stride and the Timeless Isles were awesome. But I do agree some people even those under my age shouldn’t be using headphones with the audio set through the TV, mics pick up way too much background noise, and for the love of Odin people don’t need to be eating and slurping their drinks while gaming.

I’m comparing my first 30mins in Cata to last two months in SoD on a social level. No comparison.
But yeah. I love listening to screaming children on comms. You must be a real trooper there
