Is World of Warcraft a game for old farts?

The only teens I’ve seen playing this game are the children/relatives of longtime players who have been here since WoW’s peak days.

In my 20s.

Started playing when I was young because my father played.

None of my friends will play because it’s a subscription based game and they have more fun with one time purchases or free-to-play games.

Gas is generally harmless, but it is a biological response to the consumption of foods your body finds indigestible. If you were to figure out which foods those were and eliminate them, you would have less gas or none. But you can just continue to eat what you are eating. Actually, gas is also a symptom of celiac disease, which can be an issue if left undiagnosed.

I’m nowhere near there yet!!

I think it could be more appealing if you quintupled the global cooldown time, and added an element of crowd control and planning over twitch movements.

The game feels so stodgy with the gaming of the auction house, all the different systems, multiple keys, hearthstones, flight/non flight, etc. When I was talked into it after retiring last year it took reading several websites, installing 50 addons, and playing more than one character to max before I really even understood the deal with all the Dalarans clearly. Then you take that stodgy feeling and have fortnight style movement in combat.

It’s more a monolithic kludge of old and new without a real balance. I think the player base may continue to age because the entrance learning curve is so high, I mean, you could just do newbie stuff and then Shadowlands, but the type of people who want to play an MMORPG are going to be curious about legendary weapons, class halls and castles in Draenor. It’s a bit much given all that is useless in the endgame.

If being 30 makes you an old fart, I must be dead by now.

But, do YOU make gas too?

I’m 24, started playing around TBC, up til sometime after Cataclysm released (never actually sub’d until recently).

Yes, yes it is.

In all seriousness, biological age is not what we should be looking at. It should be the mental age. Some are still acting like they’re 8 (i.e. trade chat).

When i was a teenager i was throwing a football trying to impress the girls, not im my wildest day as a teenager did i want to sit in an isolated world. I rode my motorcycle, went hunting, went fishing, Hung out with friends, occasionally we would go to the local and drop 10 bucks worth of quarters on Street fighter. I dont think video games should be targeted to kids and teens.
