Probably, but I wouldnt worry about it. Its only a matter of time before the younger people hit their 30s and decide that 30 isn’t old anymore. Then we all become younger retroactively.

the trend has moved away from mmorpgs to faster-paced esports titles or mobile games. i don’t see it as a bad thing though, i’d much rather play with people in my age range so that i don’t have to scramble for references.
The short answer is yes.
And here I was thinking about how silly everyone is on Classic. If they’re “old” I do believe most of the loud ones are directly reliving their glory days as 12 year olds in the barrens (or now, in /LookingForGroup).

30+??? thats basically in a retirement home!!!
Real talk when I turned 30 I thought my life was ending eminently and I had a rather large crisis. Now in my mid-40s and hoping that wasn’t my midlife. Doing much better now, so glad I didn’t give up, 30 is so not old.
I think I let some hipsters convince me that hunter gatherers only lived until 30 when the life expectancy was actually adjusted for child mortality and if you made it to 30 you were probably going to see 40, 50, even 60+ as well. My parents are in their 60’s and are just starting to feel “old” by their own admission.

A more nuanced perspective is that old farts don’t like the chores either but they remember a time when WoW wasn’t chorecraft. So they come back routinely in the hopes that old game is born anew.
I vividly remember when I did pathfinder in BFA and told myself I’d never do that again. Like a lot of things in modern WoW the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. I mean with games like Terraria who needs that?
WoW is great game, but for how old it is… of course it loses playerbase time to time, no other company can keep as much playerbase as WoW does thought. Losing player base when you are this old is fine. Before ffix trolls come and say FFIX DID! Ffix never had and will never have as much playerbase as WoW does lol… Hence they come here and use WoW forums because ffix forums are dead 
There are many young players , its just you see them less because parental controls prob. I am sure parents are aware of… MMORPG playerbase in general lol…

Yes it is.my back hurts. 
I felt that classic were more of a chore than retail.
At least now i can ignore what i dont care about. In classic the gameplay are the chores.

Well, do you consider old farts even farts any more? They would have dispersed throughout the air by now, don’t you think? 
On a serious note, I find it very hard to find communities that will accept young 'uns such as myself. People always assume I’m like… 35. I honestly have no clue why considering I act very immature.

I’m 57 years old and completely and utterly insane. Also, my farts are young and fresh and not old and stale thank you very much.
