Is turning into a Zombie and killing NPCs considered "Griefing"?

I just wanted some clarity on this topic seeing as we have plenty of people being reported for simply participating in the event.

If I were to for example turn into a zombie to go and kill a quest giver or NPCs in general in order to spread the plague (The entire point of the event btw) would this be something you can report someone for?

No more then raiding a city to kill a faction leader for the achievement is griefing.

I had someone turn into a zombie right as they joined an av and do that exploding green gas thing right at the gate. The slow made it so we were a good 10 seconds slower to getting towers and ended up snow balling into us losing without tower cap.

Some people really push their BS to the limit with this event. Thought it would be more fun but it’s really easy to grief.

I figured as much but I read that other thread where the guy was complaining that turning into a zombie was griefing and people were actively supporting that stance in the responses, so I was a bit worried what even passed as griefing now a days.

the system is automated. It doesn’t matter what the actual rules say, what matters is how many people report you, apparently.

So is it griefing to engage in the Zombie Plague event? No it is not.

Can you get in trouble if enough people report you anyways? Yes, you can.

It shouldn’t be. This was an event from 15 years ago, and you could do it then too. If killing NPC’s by zombies was considered griefing they shouldn’t have made it something that could be done.

Its an event bliz put into the game, if they didnt want you killing quest npc or auctioneers they wouldnt allow it let alone make an event that encourages it. People are just frustrated because it interrupts their gameplay.

I told my guild earlier this week to come camp me. They are like seriously? im like yeah its an even doesnt last forever so why not have some fun with it. Please camp me LOLOL

Im suprised every realm even has 1 auctioneer up, people are slacking it was reaaaaaaaaaaaaal bad the first time lol i remember not using them for a few days.

Apparently it takes less time to turn as the event goes on. So in a few days its going to be much harder to get clensed in time.
