If you are referring to me,really, I been through this before it makes total sense ,reporting people so they can bot and farm the area is a game people play all the time. This technique also plays in the AH.
Right. It was not accepted by the community and remained a back-alley transaction, that was heavily frowned upon.
Overwatch comparison - Their Competitive Philosophy:
(Scenario) Buying a boost in Overwatch to increase Competitive rank - The Overwatch Team would absolutely NOT stand for cheating and an account would be banned. Cheating and Degenerative behavior disrupts the game - you are in a skill bracket you do not belong, and cause a fragment in your team and a disruption to the match.
How does this relate to World of Warcraft competitive gameplay? - Cheating by boosting for the gear and then joining groups and joining skill brackets (Normal, Heroic, Mythic, +Keys) and causing the group harm by not fulfilling the skill requirement for the bracket and fragmenting your team (now 4 must carry the boosted party member in content meant for 5); causing a disruption in playersā time and efficiency when the party is disbanded to leave and start a new key, because a player was playing the game dishonestly by boosting/cheating.
Like I said earlier: I just wasnāt around for the first 3 iterations; so I have no idea how it was (I just knew for a fact it really wasnāt outright in the open). I started late Cataclysm on a relatively comfortable server (Antonidas) and NEVER saw a single boost advertisement.
Could be a bot, could be a multiboxer (which is not against the rules) could also be a 2x4 farm group that literally afk button spam while watching netflix then loot every 2 mins on a timer. Just right click report if you think its a bot.
They wont be removed till blizz can break the bot tho
