Is this the bot farm spot?

That worked for me years ago with a warrior. I flagged they attacked and I killed them.
But they weren’t farming herbs they were killing mobs in rotation.

Mine is in pandaria’s halfhill.

The mechagnome Harvest should be pretty good this year

Hmm,never thought of using those toys now that would be interesting to try.

Let the reports fly. I hand them out like halloween candy and I keep getting “Thanks for contributing to the game!” messages in my mailbox. Not sure if it’s a bluff but it’s worth it to inconvenience the botters

Precisely! Things like this turn a game with integrity into something akin to lawlessness. Blizzard should uphold integrity and professionalism and remain vigilant against this maliciousness; in turn it will affect the game(s) positively.

This is the reason this game will fail. Ion is so stupid, he doesnt make it a priority to ban these guys rui8nging the entire econmoy of the game. And the devs are confused on why the game is dieing in record numbers. Replace ION you idiots at blizzard.

yes and alot of other places. blizzard should make a possition for a few gms to be in world of warcraft watching for bots. back in the day they had gms in game now its all impersonal pre script response.

You no longer get in game mail, you get a notification that some action has been taken, I got two of them today.

Questing is not all this game has to offer, bots affect the overall economy of servers and has a larger impact than “Oh no, I can’t complete this one quest because of bots”.

And we are to interfere with them when they do nothing but do as others do. Yeah, let’s just bother everyone on their dailies ,not.

As of now i’m farming for cloth ,do you wish to report me as a bot for farming an area? Well, someone did do just that when i alone was herbing.I for one wouldn’t do that to another player.

I got in game mail saying action was taken against their accounts. We need definitive and constant vigilance from Blizzard against structural abuse such as botting too. We are definitely doing our part by remaining vigilant and reporting these cases.

Might be an unpopular opinion (off topic from botting too, but still in the realm of structural abuse):

I really wish boosting was banned too. Boosting is a structural abuse - the structure of the PvE side of the game is to defeat increasingly powerful foes for increasingly powerful gear.

Blizzard should not under any circumstance allow these abuses to the structure and order of the World…of Warcraft.

Keep letting the structural order be abused and it will fall in to free-form chaos.

A good litmus test is to pull aggro on a mob they’re fighting (taunt, etc). If they mindlessly chase after the mob and follow it off a ledge, they’re 99.999999% likely to be a bot. Players don’t do that.

I’ve confirmed several bots out in the world like this. Last time it was a pack of troll death knights from a bunch of different servers in Outland all tracing the exact same circular path killing mobs forever. They followed the mob I pulled from them right off the edge of Hellfire Peninsula into the the Twisting Nether without a moment’s doubt.

it looks like a rock to me

lol, carries have happened from the start and we don’t seem to have reached this free-form chaos you talk about.

I don’t get what you’re saying ,you mean to stop people from up scaling their gear ,report them as bots? You do realize what some people are doing?

I wasn’t around then. Also, I wasn’t on a mega-community server. I was always on Antonidas during Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria - I never witnessed any boosting or advertisements. /2 was always either booming with trade or chatter.

Now, it may have been completely different on “Full” servers. One thing is certain though, you argued for boosting always having been around; you did not however argue that boosting is a structural abuse, because innately you already know it is an abuse to the structure of the game. An analogy for boosting is: Drug deals (boosting) in the alleyway, which now turned in to drug deals (boosting) all out in the open. That is the free form chaos I refer to.

Feel free to post your next conclusion or opinion, I’ll read it to see your side; but I won’t reply so we can keep this thread on topic.

That is intentional. I wanted the map and my position marker to be visible so that the Community and Blizzard know EXACTLY where this abuse is taking place.

I’ve been around since patch 1.5, and while boosting may have had an outsize presence in the Vanilla/TBC/WotLK cutting edge raiding community (which I was not part of), it was practically unheard of among “normal” players in my experience unless you count giving your guildie or IRL friend a Deadmines or SM run with your 60 for free. There were people who bought their characters off of eBay, but those players were endlessly lampooned as they were consistently some of the worst in the game.

Sometimes some people on these forums make absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Your entire argument wasn’t based on reality so I didn’t bother addressing it entirely.

The fact you didn’t even know carries were happening just shows how little it affects you.
