Is this suspension worthy? can I get a review plz?

Ok so here is the situation…

Friends, my daughter and I are dungeon leveling we are level 20…

We decide to start a guild.

I pay people a handful of silver to sign my guild charter(im poor).

I create the guild and change the rank names to…ahem err… “historical ww2 names”

I remember I should kick out the randoms so I do, however I was foolish to not kick them out before changing the ranks to these potentially sensitive rank titles and now I am suspended for 9 days and everyone is held up now in our leveling process…

Is this really suspension worthy? If so can I at least get someone to read my appeal and get me back in game promptly? I wont use such language again. ( just names of actual people from history).

The only way to appeal an account action is via a ticket:

I’m not sure what names you used, nor do I really want to know, but if Blizz took action with your guild rank names, they likely were beyond bad. They’re normally pretty hands-off when it comes to this stuff and only step in when something is pretty terrible.

well it all relative I suppose, the rank was Das Fuhrer for the guild master, the others were of the same theme, I was not trying to offend im not that way.

Are you asking whether the GM got it wrong?

It’s like calling balls and strikes. The umpire is right per definitionem. You’re entitled to your opinion, but the only opinion that matters is the GM’s. If the responding GM judged the naming inappropriate, it’s inappropriate.

I mean, it’s certainly not the best choice, but you can still put in a ticket to have another set of eyes take a look at the account action.

Yeah, you shouldn’t do things like that, Chad.

I mean telling someone they cant use historical NAMES is kind of weird but I do regret subjecting randoms to it, and if I can get a GM to review my appeal promptly it would be appreciated.

Use the link I provided. There are no GMs on the forums, so you’ll need to put in a ticket to have it looked at.

im not a trouble maker… my guild name is not of that theme at all

I assure you, they will. In the order it was received relative to other tickets of its type. (I don’t know prioritization of appeal tickets relative to other Customer Service tickets, but it’s generally first-come-first-served, as fairness demands.)

Selecting the ranks of, or names of, historical villains who committed genocide is by definition offensive and horrific.

It is not ok in any context in pretty much any media anywhere in the world. Outside of history books that use it in context, those name are not used.

Using them for a guild ranking system promotes and “glorifies” those names - and is not only going to get you temp suspended, but can permanently removed from game.

It is not even remotely ok or funny.

ok yes I have a ticket out. No phone support or live chat though?

Can Orlyia help me?

Nope. Those who handle appeals are only available via ticket.

Also nope.

I think I am allowed to have my own opinions on world war 2 still Mirasol, thanks.

No. Appeals are only taken via ticket.

No, Orylia is not a GM and does not handle appeals.

No, you can’t use those historical figures in WoW. That is offensive and inappropriate to use the perpetrators of the holocaust.

The sleepy panda is marvelous in many ways, but not a GM in the way you need. Your ticket is your appeal and it will be seen in the order it was submitted.

How fair would it be if you could jump the line by posting in the forums?

You can have whatever personal opinion you want. You can’t use it in Blizzard’s games though.

“wrong think”… I know.

This has nothing to do with “think”. Only expression. Only after the thought escapes your head and uses Blizzard’s resources to communicate itself to your fellow players does it become a problem.

Killing over 6 million people horrifically and losing a world war over it. Then being convicted at the Nurbemburg trials. Horrific acts outside of that + eugenics.

Yes, they are the bad guys.

Chad, if you think that kind thing is ok with most of the world, then yes, you are thinking “wrong”.

If you want to value those folks and agree with their ideas you can do you, but don’t expect anyone else to put up with it or agree with you.
