No. You’re Lightforged. We’re exempt from the rules of Orcs and Man. The Light is our only guide.

If you have to ask, then the answer is likely yes. In this case yes, that name would be against the ToS.

I don’t know what you call them in America, but on Aussie servers we’ve had people call themselves thing like ‘dolebludger’ and that kind of thing.

yea I’m an aussie myself and that is true :stuck_out_tongue:

Just out of curiosity why “Taxfraud”? is it a Goblin character by chance?

its a bank toon

Ah makes sense

Character Naming Rules

  • The character name must be between 2-12 characters long.
  • Accented characters are supported.
  • Numbers and symbols are not supported.
  • Mixed capitals and spaces are not supported.

There used to be more

No naming characters after real people “HulkHogan” or names that are two words “potatochips” or names with titles “KingKaurmine” or copyrighted products “Pepsi” or gibberish “gwsegrzhze” or first and last names “JohnSmith” so a year ago I would have said yes it’s against the rules but now I say no :man_shrugging:

Names are subject to the same rules established above. Any name the player has the ability to customize—such as player names, BattleTags, and guild names—must be appropriate and inoffensive

As some people could potentially get offended by names like taxfraud I would avoid it. I mean it is something that could trigger quite a lot of people.

I mean, this one time I remember three girls on camera boasted about being dole bludgers. wasn’t nice.

Still can’t use king, queen, etc proper titles. Names on RP server are a more strict also.

World of Warcraft Role Play (RP) servers are intended to provide players with an added level of immersion in the game world. Names on RP servers must adhere to Blizzard’s Code of Conduct, and also must avoid being disruptive to the world.

Examples of common unacceptable or disruptive RP names include (but are not limited to):

  • Non-medieval or non-fantasy names (For example: Slipnslide, Robotman, Technotron)
  • Names that reference well known people, characters, brands, places, or icons (For example: Britneyspears, Austinpowers, Mcdonalds, Georgewashington, Newyork)
  • Names that consist of multiple words (For example: Inyourface, Welovebeef, Howareyou, Sixtyseventy)

Guess RP realms took all the naming rules lol

Thanks for the help, i do however find it quite ridiculous that someone would get offended over a name like “Taxfraud” lol. Not sure why I’m so surprised though, everyone gets offended by everything these days.

It could be something they are dealing with in their personal life. Like me getting upset over your name Cryptobits because I lost my life savings investing in crypto currency.

I don’t think it would be so much as getting offended per say but as far as RP servers as Kaurmine pointed out they are more likely to report you for breaking the naming policy.

Because A Current Affair says taxfrauds are vermin

I’m sorry for your tough time u went through but I’m gonna be honest with you, i laughed when i read that.

On an RP realm it would be because of a rule about not using two connected words in a name or nouns as names. Everywhere else. Nope. It is not against the rules.

This would truly be terrible if it actually happened to you… but at the same time, there were warnings and red flags everywhere that investing in crypto currency was a bad idea long term. It was only a matter of time until that massive bubble burst, and financial advisers were saying as much pretty much everywhere.
