I have a guildie from Peru that cant afford to buy the expansion. He wants me to gift it to him and he pays me back in tokens when he can

Is this against the rules?

I’m just trying to make them aware of the potential consequences/outcome. :dracthyr_yay_animated: If their “friend” removes them or even just neglects to ever pay them back then nothing can or will happen.

A friend of mine tried to do this a few years ago, the Blizzard International Goon Squad (B.I.G.S) broke in at 2am and took his hard drive, and left him begging to play his rogue just one last time.

I wouldn’t risk it.

We aren’t judging, we’re just saying something odd is going on. Nobody isn’t telling the OP he can’t be a good friend, but we’re just saying that if he can pay him back in tokens then why can’t he earn gold and buy it and turn it into bnet balance.

Friend “A” Buys token with in game gold, gives it to friend “B”, friend B buys expac and gifts it to the friend A…

I honestly don’t see how that could be against the rules. I mean tokens are already readily tradeable/sellable. Well they were, I’ve not been on for a few years.

Only foreseeable issue is one of the people involved renigs on the deal. That’s nobody’s problem but the 2 involved though.
