Is this illegal?

If you do this, do it as a gift. Think of it as a gift, no strings attached & no repayment & tell him this.

Can’t he pay for the expansion with gold too?

Yeah, that gold is gone. :dracthyr_love_animated: Don’t expect it back if you go through with it.

Say bye bye to it. Don’t come back here asking if he can be banned because he won’t and we tried to warn you. Thanks for giving him a free game though, Guildie guy.

I don’t know how Peru works with WoW, but I’m in EU and blocked from cashing tokens into bnet balance.

Oh really, I didn’t know that. But you have to keep in mind, he’s paying for his sub with gold.

Can you send gifts to friends in other countries now or currency? I tried to with a friend a few years ago and I couldn’t bc he is in another country.

I love to give, never expect to get your money back though.

How long have you been friends? Seems sus to me, he point blank asked you?

To answer your question, no it’s not illegal.

Just be okay with never seeing that money again. If you’re okay with that, do it. If you aren’t, don’t. You know him better than we do. I’m guessing you don’t have the gold to give him the gold to buy it that way.

If you want to do it, go for it, but be okay with never seeing the money/gold again.

Hey guys i have a friend from Khazakstan ive known him for 3 weeks he wants me to buy him epic edition plus 12mos game time for mounts then he will give me tokens

Seems legit yes?

Have you known him long enough and seems trusting? I mean 60 bucks is 60 bucks and if he is paying for his sub via tokens, something don’t seem right. That gold is gone!

How will he pay you back in tokens. They’re bound to you unless you put them on the AH or use them for game time. I don’t think you can tranfer bnet balance.

You can pay sub with tokens, you can’t cash it in for bnet balance.

I’m not on my comp but I’ll post a pic of my token tomorrow, it says you can use for sub, but the part about bnet balance is gone for this reason.

Only found out myself about this issue yesterday. I had to give my friend my gold to buy DF for me

Of course you are, you’re not just saying anything, you are actually suggesting his buddy is going to rip him off.

That’s judging right there dear.

Yeah, I have no idea how the whole battle net cash thing works.

He means he’ll pay the gold it costs for a token. So if a token is 200k, he’ll pay 200k gold to OP in lieu of a token.

gotcha
 thanks.

cautioning someone to be wary of lending $60 to a guy on the internet isn’t judging, it’s using common sense.

if he wants to lend it, that’s his choice, but there’s a chance he’ll never see the gold in exchange for it, he needs to go into the deal accepting that.

No it is not.

If you do all communication in WoW and it is done with in game WoW currency from same region and same server all that then it is okay. Lots of people have done it. Now if you say you are going to trade gold from WoW to anther game. Then that is against the rules. Trading WoW guild for Runescape gold was the most popular back in the day.

No? It’s most likely the truth. Dear.

I mean here’s the thing, we don’t know how long this dude has known this guy from Peru. And the fact that this conversation was brought up randomly seems weird. Not to mention he’s getting paid back in tokens, now I might be wrong, but if you buy a token off the AH I don’t think you can trade it or sell it.

There are many frivolous ways to spend $200. This is just one!
