Seeing that Blizzard doesn’t care about cross-faction collusion from the AQ events on PvP servers.
Ya go to another zone or pay up.

Short answer is no it’s not allowed.
Short follow up answer is blizzard doesn’t care.
Don’t pay them anything, use that gold for stocks boosts.
Ez.
Edit- I love how almost all the replies are about PvP, imagine replying to a thread on a forum and not reading what you’re replying too, rofl.
This is a classic example where the solution is a PVP one.
Those holding the area hostage can simply be killed off by guilds/friends/etc.
PVP happened on a PVP server.
Welcome to PvP servers, enjoy your stay.
As the number one pvper on Arugal I suggest you pay the man.
Chad pvpers only in this thread now. Pay the man his money
1 permit please and thankyou.
People have been banned on retail for pvping on max level horde characters in redridge killing NPCs.
So don’t expect them to get banned in Classic with zero customer support staff.
People did this in Phase 1&2 and nothing happened.
in vanilla collusion was punishable, now it is not. blizzard have stated this. like everyone else says: pvp on pvp server. now go and actually talk to some of ur faction and ask them to help clear the colluders out.
You
play
on
an
RPPVE SERVER!
you cant even speak on this thread.
I don’t any more.
I also played on a PvP server for over 5 years in the past.
Please keep trying to gatekeep conversation though.
They haven’t specifically stated that anywhere. What they’ve done is written a very vague EULA that leaves most everything up to their discretion.
Totally agreed here, just killing quest givers or flight masters isn’t zone disruption. The main reason I think this case crosses the line is the fact that they’re trying to make gold by controlling quest givers. They’re not doing it for pvp, they’re doing it to exploit levelers.
I don’t think that the attempt to make gold is a serious one. And for all intents-and-purposes is irrelevant to me /shrug. To me it sounds like the “holding for ransom” part is just some trolling to rub salt in the wound a bit.
I don’t think the essence of the situation changes at all of the guy asking for gold exists or doesn’t.
Well if they’re actually working with the other faction they are circumventing the pvp solution to a pvp problem and that is an issue.
Uh…the problem goes away if you just kill them. So no. The fact they have a guy talking cross-faction does not in any-way remove the pvp solution.
Maybe you’re right, idk I wasn’t there. I’m just going based on what the OP said. Holding quest items/mobs/givers for ransom is clearly not ok. The whole zone disruption vs pvp thing I guess comes down to intent. If you’re clearing out lakeshire over and over again trying to draw out level 60’s for pvp that’s fine, that’s what a pvp server is about, but exploiting level 20 players for gold is not.
Well yes it does because that person is not killing them.
The way I am looking at it. If the Alliance toon was not there asking for gold…would the situation be meaningfully different? A handful of horde killing a quest NPC by themselves vs a handful of horde kill a quest NPC accompanied by a translator making demands that (in my opinion) no one in their right mind would take seriously.
To me, the 2 situations look and feel the same, the second just having a bit more extra nonsense added on top to make people feel worse.
And both situations have the same solution though. Getting a handful of Alliance to kill the handful of Horde.
How does 1 Alliance player stop a handful of other Alliance players from simply killing these Horde players?
You’re 100% right if there’s wasn’t an alliance player there selling “questing permits” this wouldn’t be an issue. It’s because the player selling “questing permits” is the issue, not the killing of quest givers. That’s what makes in zone disruption, the fact that lakeshire was held for ransom. If horde just rolled in and cleared it for no reason there wouldn’t even be a thread about this.
