Is There Concrete Evidence That Light And Void Actually Causes Someone To Die In An Explosion Of Fel?

Naaru are the living embodiment of light. Light can be darkened and turned to void.

And elves aren’t the embodiment of anything. They’re just devolved mortals. You can’t compare the two as if they’ll work the same.

I feel like basic elves are what happens when mortals do the arcane thing. Troll>NE>Highborne>BE

One wonders what a proto draenai would be like before the arcane as upposed to the broken. And what Arcane could do to humans or dwarves in the long run. Humans have only been using Arcane a super short time.

Reminds me of Dunes spice a lot.

Of course when someone starts using Arcane some power-hungry goon goes all fell.

There’s no reason someone couldn’t use all the forces, they probably couldn’t hit a high power level in each though.

Or they could mix arcane, elemental, holy for example to a much greater degree. As they aren’t so in opposition.

It should be cannon tho that people who try to simultaneously use light and shadow should suffer or if they draw too much straight up explode. Same with fell arcane. Or life and death (druidism, necromancy).

I feel like elune is like almost void/arcane in her moonfall, starfall stuff. Who says every void power has to be evil. Every arcane good. Every fell evil. Sure their predisposed to order, chaos, good, etc still there can be outliers, moderates and combinations, especially as cool side characters or one off quests.

Death, holy. Good guy necromancers that aren’t really dabbling in void and use holy offensively and death magic for defense or preservation or Resurrection. Or banishment.

Or fell life druids.

I don’t think all races mutate in proximity to arcane. Trolls are just hypersensitive to mutations. And elves are a result of that hypersensitivity. I don’t know about Draenei. But Human, dwarves, gnomes might not mutate as heavily or easily because they were originally titan constructs made flesh.

Great point. I didn’t realize that.

Dispite common beleif on the forums, naaru does not naturally become dark. In order for that to happen, they need to leak light energy via unnatural means (like getting wounded) for that to happen.

They probably bleed energy over time very slowly one of the ones in oshugun on draenor was drained from space travel yet not depleted and it took time for them to deplete eventually, generations iirc.

Dunno if they can be recharged.

Didn’t we fix one in a side quest?

I guess the point is they are just as malleable as other races.

They can, at least from what i read, recharge over time after they go through a void phase.

I will just put inserpt here

Dark naaru

Naaru can die, but if their physical form is damaged, it may bleed their energy causing them to enter a darkened state[51] in which they are weakened and produce void energies,[52] becoming dark naaru [53][13] (Dark Naaru)[54] or darkened naaru.[55] A naaru’s darkened state is different than death. Their energy may take up to one thousand years to regenerate.[56] It should be noted that some darkened naaru still appear to harbor altruistic intentions; however, their weakened state may be exploited for nefarious purposes, such as creating void minions[57] and raising the undead.[58] It is unknown if this cycle occurs naturally without an external catalyst. Examples of darkened naaru are D’ore, M’uru, K’ure, and K’ara. Thrice, darkened naaru have also been shown to transform further into void gods; though in all known occasions this was only when their light was forcibly drained by an outside party, so it does not seem to be a natural phenomenon and is normally extremely rare. The ethereal Locus-Walker noted that the few cases of naaru falling into Void he knew of had occurred when mortals were involved, which he thought carried fascinating implications.[59]

The curse of flesh is definitely an old goddy gift so it’s very much likely many mortals are intrinsically corrupt in some way, prone to impulses and darker more survival oriented behavior. Which means some will always try to exploit, use, destroy or corrupt others. Out of necessity or simple malice and greed.

Yup, best example of how far blood elves went in BC on their quest to control all forms of magic, even by forcibly taking light magic from a naaru.

So, they could become Light Elves? It’d be cool for us to have that option.

why devolved? why not evolved? you trying to be mean for free here?

I’m talking about physically, not mentally or magically. There’s nothing “mean” about it.

Around this time, they had become completely severed from the life-giving energy of the Well of Eternity. This meant that they were vulnerable to the elements and had not received immortality from Nozdormu and the World Tree. They had shrunk in height and their skin had become a peach hue similar to most dwarvesand humans.

They became smaller, fragile. It’s just a physical development. That’s all it means. Don’t get cranky. It’s a lore thing.
