Is there any debate that WoW is P2W?

You don’t even play in competitive circumstances so how would you know?

Basic observation, you should give it a try sometime.

If you call being you … a success. LOL … im good. i’ll stay me. I actually like myself … and i look good in a lbd.

Considering you have been wrong on all aspects of your “observations” on competitive play I think I will pass.

It’s only PTW if it gives you an advantage.

Paying to catch up is not an advantage.

Yeh no, compromise and “pay to catch up”

Winners don’t need to pay.

I never claimed I was successful. Just said you weren’t.

Reading sure is hard.

“I know quite a few people, myself included, who defined pay to win as simply being able to buy character power for real money.”

Do you live in some weird world where those words don’t mean the things that they mean?

I’d would be surprised you ignored the context around it, but this seems to be your standard operating procedure. Cherry pick text while ignoring stuff around it.

“The moment we allow them these technicalities to make a game that is P2W in everything but name, the term also becomes meaningless.”

It’s almost as if I was talking about a theoretical situation, not what was actually going on in reality.

You’re the one constantly makes the mistake of thinking someone can’t speak about something they haven’t personally experienced.

You think historians actually met julias cesar? You think someone has given a black hole a big hug?

I mean by all means, keep on with your pathetic gatekeeping attempts

If you remove “gaining any advantage” from the definition… how is it winning?

That’s…. You know… a crucial part of pay to win.

Are you sure of that? Every World Series going back decades, right off the top of your head?

I know lots of men that can rattle off every stat of every player on a team … going back 20 years…

And your’s is saying a lot of irrelevant nonsense, that any direct responses gets lost in your jargon. Just stick to direct responses. No need for drawn out essay like responses.

I also already acknowledged you aren’t literally winning, because the term “Pay to Win” should not be taken literally in the same sense that a RPG is more than “a game in which you play a role”.

There’s a number of things we don’t use the literal interpretation of it in.

and hell, some of us even DID point out the absolute top players in this game buy gold in order to stay at the top and we were told that’s it’s unfair to use them as a measurement.

Rwf guilds aren’t buying tokens. They pay for all that as a guild with money from sales

I’ mean id be happy if they just got rid of the Mythic BoEs. If they sell a token mythic bind on equip gear probably shouldn’t drop . I’m not really so much concerned about carries for the reason you’re saying tho it is technically p2w because of the toekn

but this isn’t their “goal” though bis is just a piece of the puzzle

Lets not forget they also pay people to level the characters they use for splits.

uhhhh… hate to break it to you…

I spent money too one time back then but i bought it for consumables to keep my toon moving forward thru Naxx40 or ICC25. Once i became regular on GDKP group, Gold started to rain on me.

But in Modern WoW, it’s raining Gold even for Casuals. Buying a carry is a joke. The game is so easy especially now in Shadowlands… raining with gear. All you have to do is just play the game.

Go Pay with your real money on this game. But dont ever brag that youve won.
