Nobody cares. In a year, nobody will remember your name. You are meaningless except to yourself.
Yep I am because it doesn’t effect me at all, I have yet to lose a raid spot due to “p2w”
The day they add shoulder cannons to the cash shop that one hits raid bosses is the day you’ll have my support.
People can spend their money however they want, if you are so upset about it I’ll show you the door.
How is it an in game advantage when other people have already done it?
As I’ve said before - only exception to this is PvP which doesn’t take gear into account for rankings - which causes problems
“Pay to win” simply means advantages, or character power/progression, can legitimately be purchased with real dollars, fully within the rules of the game. In no way, shape, or form does it mean the advantages which can be purchased with dollars CANNOT be purchased without dollars. That is a misconception. You are simply mistaking an egregious form of pay to win with pay to win itself. Even games with much worse P2W than WoW will typically allow f2p players to eventually obtain what the whales buy in one day through years of grinding. It’s still pay to win if you can go to the shop, and purchase power, or, purchase currency that allows you to do so (even if to a limited extent.)
Oh man if only you had the ability to go back and make edits after you’ve read the rest of my post so you aren’t making false claims and looking like you’re arguing in bad faith.
Again: I said this before.
For some reason you’ve just ignored it even though you actually quoted and replied to it last time.
Good to know you’ve finally got what I said like 3 posts ago, though.
I said that even if all the people defending it agreed that it was P2W, I doubt they would change their minds about if it’s an acceptable thing or not.
That is not the same as saying everybody who thinks it’s not P2W is defending it. If we’re gonna nitpick semantics here then yes, that distinction is important now.
I don’t expect anything to come out of this thread beyond the amusement of watching the mental gymnastics of the people posting in it.
Thank you for admitting I’m right, I really wish you would have done that sooner and saved us both the time. No, I will stay right where I am. I quite like this game which is why I continuously argue for it’s improvement. I wish you felt the same, but clearly you don’t care.
so like what’s really going on in this thread are we arguing like people’s end goals are different? because like what is “winning” to you
winning to me ain’t getting bis
What advantage is given when people have to reach that level before it becomes a possibility?
Pay to catch up is not pay to win.
The only exception to this is PvP boosts as the system doesn’t take gear / previous ranks into account in match making
What’s winning to you?
It’s a bunch of unsuccessful people blaming boes for losing their raid spots lol
pushing an infinitely scaling system as far as i can, which you’ll get bis anyway doing.
pushing as far as my mechanical skill lets me
so like if we’re using me as an example, how is this p2w?
sure i can buy things for bis, but isn’t really my end goal
Lets ban the token, and go back to everyone having to have herbalism and farm for six hours before raid mandatory like vanilla used to be. Lots of lazy people selilng carries don’t want to actually play the game. The idea of having to farm makes them shudder with fear.
Thats what you think. In my heydays in Vanilla thru Wrath, i was very popular on my realm. I left my server and made a new toon to get away from them. I just want to play silently now as Casual.
If you are a great player, you could easily win back people. But a garbage player like those who Pay2Win, they remain garbage. Nobody wants to play with them.
Is it really pay to win then if they recieved no significant advantage by spending money?
LOL, lots of people know who won every world series going back decades. Nobody knows who won world first 5 years ago without looking it up. Zero. You and your achievements are meaningless. Your so called friends would forget who you are so fast it would make your head spin.
but what if i buy full boosts on a new warlock, get the exact same gear, did i p2w? or am i just skipping boring gearing to be able to get to my end game
It wouldn’t be, but I dont think anyone is arguing it’s P2W in all cases. It just encourages buying gold in competitive circumstances.
No.
Nah. People have jobs and families now.
I’m sure me buying raid mats is why you’re so unsuccessful at the game though
I don’t need to. In that moment, in time, on that line, it was pointless making that line, as it was a way to delay answering the question. Maybe you should’ve edited it out.
No, you didn’t especially not verbatim.
Can’t ignore what wasn’t said/clarified.
Just that post, yes.
Wow, denying that you actually this, huh?:
Then, you really have nothing to complain about.
There’s way too many factors in this convo that you’ll never hit all the bases because it is so player dependent on what is “winning” to each player
ill technically never win ever i don’t think i even have an end goal in mind im pushing as far as i can lol
