I am sorry if I offend anyone but last week was very difficult for me when I had to deal with “fortified” and the party leader seems to want to sabotage their own +13 key (which gives a item level 470 vault item) by inviting a item level 440 to 445 healer to their group.
I was item level 470 at the time but I am not Sargeras. I am not a professional player. I am someone who likes to take the path of least resistance, and I apologize if I offend anyone, but a item level 440 to 445 healer has no place in a +13 wanting a 470 item level vault item.
If I was that low item level as the tank, I would not have been invited. I trusted the party leader to not sabotage their own key (my fault) by inviting a healer that is not within a 10 item level difference to me so I did not pay attention.
This goes with saying, but the pulls in that run was slow and small because the party leader sabotaged their own key. I did not realize what happened until I checked the healer’s item level.
Is there a way to easily see the healer’s item level after they have joined the group?
Also, please do not sabotage your own key by inviting low item level tank/healer/dps in keys that are clearly above their item level (you can compare their item level with the vault item level of your key).
There is always lower standards for healers and tanks because they are harder to find.

440 is fine to heal a 14. If you need 470 to heal a 14 it’s a skill issue.

In my opinion, the standards for tanks and healers must be higher than DPS because the healer is very important to the whole group.
Without a similar item level healer, I cannot pull as much and as fast as I can which is bad for the party leader who depends on me, the tank, to make sure they get a +3 key.
By inviting a low item level healer, the party leader is sabotaging their own key. I can handle low item level DPS, but I cannot handle a low item level healer.
Swapped characters so you can armory me easier, I timed a 14 fortified on this scrungus of a character I do not know how to play in-depth tanking with a (at the time) 430 monk healer. Some people died and I did more healing overall but we only wiped once (my fault, pulled 2 packs together without CDs). Your expectations for what ilvl is required to do a key are way out of wack.

We are actively timing 18s on alts who are 440-445. You can very easily do a 13 at that item level.
As a tank, the healer’s item level is entirely irrelevant because their job is to keep the other players alive, it’s the tank’s job to keep themself alive.

I’m confused. The only 13 keys I’m seeing that you are talking about that have healers around that item level were good runs and they had higher scores than you do lol.

Why would any want their key be more difficult and slow when it doesn’t have to be?
When you’re overgearing the content. Yes.
Because most 470 healers aren’t going to be doing 14s

Because the healer is correctly geared for the dungeon, and you are overgeared, my friend. You can be timing 20s at 470, 13’s should do practically nothing to you.
But you shouldn’t take this as people flaming you or anything, this is an opportunity for improvement! Check out some VDH guides, look at some VoDs from other VDHs to see what they are doing/running. You can easily start ascending into higher keys now!

+20 is beyond my level of power and skill at this time.
I know when I am reaching too close to the sun.
I timed a 20 at 460.
End of the day you don’t need a 470 healer for a 14.

I am not expecting a 470 healer, I want at least a 460 healer to make the run go fast and more importantly, not difficult.
