There’s plenty of stuff for non-hardcore players to do.
As long as there’s fun in it that’s all that matters.

400 ilvl in normal nyalotha is a carry. Seriously, you can’t even do it without the cloak, and the assaults required as part of the questline are tuned for 430 gear.
OP, I figure if they end up making enough stink bombs like WoD. They will learn their lesson and stop treating casuals so poorly.
no it wasn’t, reputations were completely optional until pathfinder. They had some things, but nothing essential or irreplacable
It’s not, it’s actually objectively true.
Look, I play more than most, and my main is further progressed than a lot of people.
But my alts are played as casual as casual can be. I mean literally. I do not raid on them, I don’t do LFR on them, I don’t even run dungeons in normal or heroic mode on them. I get them to max level and then maybe do some world quests on some of them.
And they are still sitting in gear that was ilvl equivalent to the Heroic level raid gear from last raid tier on nothing but a few hours of world quests. The game has end game content in just about every level imagineable for all levels of players.
There would be no carry if everyone is casual… maybe it’s supposed to be a tough encounter at the end of an expansion.
If memory serves only time it was super important was with the AQ gear. But that was so long ago I forget half of the stuff that was on classic. All I remember was I didn’t have to jump threw as many hoops to get a group.
Nobody is doing progression on normal raids at this point in the expansion.
And remember, we’re talking about casual play.
Random casuals with no raiding experience are not going to be putting together a progression group at this time of the expansion.
WTB the time when I could just holler on chat. LFG/LFR -Insert Dungeon/raid- and usually get an invite within 5 minutes no questions asked back.
If you are doing mythic or high keys yes, but the gear that is so easily handed you is more than enough for any casual. You can get 450 by breathing which is more than enough for normal raid, and m10 and below. Even higher.
Right, because casual players are done with the game. Replaying game on Heroic and Mythic is not casual… it’s there for people who want more, to keep playing
This. I mean from a gear standpoint you do 1 weekly mythic dungeon of 12+ per week you are given a 470 gear item. If you do 1 15+ mythic dungeon you are given a 475 gear item. Assuming you don’t do any other content, you still earn 4 pieces of 470+ gear per month. I don’t see your point about it being hard for casuals and those who are hardcore?
Casuals get mostly 410-415 gear from doing world quests. You’re definitely playing a different game.
Tell the guy above me who says 400 is high enough for normal raiding that the number is 450.
What? You are 459 on that character with no mythic plus, no raid at all, no rated pvp, Just random stuff. Wq goes all the way up to 445 with emmisary which gives gear constantly. A couple pieces a week. M0 is very casual and also plenty more 445s
Normal Nyolotha if you can pull about 30k to 40k dps and have 430 ilvl you can clear it.
Heroic Nyolotha may require higher ilvl and dps, but not that much more.
No, because everybody who has been working on the raid is done with it.
Random casuals are not going to form progression guilds now for the few weeks left in the expansion.
People are still doing normal raid and heroic all the time. I always see groups for them both.
You’re kidding, right?
Pet battles, archaeology, questing, some very nice scenery that you tended to miss because you were too busy flying over it, fishing, farming old content, gold making…you name it, there something for everyone. Some people even log in and just chill out.
Don’t mistake rated PVP and endgame content for the game. It’s called World of Warcraft for a reason.
