goblin intro is also on few stranded islands but have main in every camp. But i guess that’s cata and players didn’t need that much “safety” and hand holding back them (imagine thinking there are new players)
I’m pretty the mail system doesn’t deliver to uncharted islands.
Put it in as a suggestion for the help thing in game. He used to be a problem I think for pandas when they first came out to but now they’ve got a mailbox in the starting area. The Demon Hunter start area doesn’t have a mailbox either

I know this is an old post but I’ve only just returned to WOW and I found a mailbox on the Drakthyr starting area. As soon as you get flying, head west to the smaller island and there’s a mailbox right on the shoreline at [15, 60] in a Tuskarr village.
So I guess blizzard didn’t want to add it for the Drakthyr specifically for lore reasons.
