Is there a disconnect between Blizzard and the community?

You keep making this claim without even trying to prove it. That’s not how it works. There seems to be a dropping participation in hardcore content - which may change in the coming month - and all that can be shown is that Shadowlands sold a lot of copies. What happens after people play it, only Blizzard knows. We won’t know for some time.

Catering the expansion to the minority is a bad idea. There’s no issue with designing systems like M+ and Mythic for the hardcore, but designing the entire game that way is a bad idea.

I’ll need it in TBC.

You do realize that the, “borrowed power” and “busywork” problems started in Legion… right?

Legion at the very least provided fewer hard gates and had more compelling content. But overall, I didn’t enjoy it. I certainly didn’t enjoy BFA and what I’ve seen of SL.

Well, we will never have any idea or insight into that process, but I remember when SL was announced at Blizzcon, and right away there was the question of covenant balancing, being locked and restricted, having Blizz buff and nerf covenant abilities throughout the expac.

And why? Because of the dev team’s history. They have become painfully predictable. I also recall when they made a thread announcing Corruption and asking for feedback, and many replies were like “this is bad, this will cause problems”.

Personally, I commented to keep things simple, which Blizz is incapable of doing anymore.

Exactly why they shouldn’t cater to causals, you’re proving my point.

probly, all that really matters is that I’m enjoying SL. Everyone is gonna view it differently, and my opinion may change over time. I know this, by this point in BFA, I had already determined I was never gonna like the xpac, and I was right.

idc if one of the anima powers turn me into an effing dragon with 1000% spell power fire breath but in exchange you continually move forward, or are always smashed.

Thats not practical but thats FUN, and thats what torghast was billed as.

Its true, but I also think people are looking at it way too early and trying to dismiss it.
We have a LOT of player power coming in these next months.

And seemingly this difficulty is going to be staying right where its at.

If I had a penny for every claim you’ve made without any evidence, I’d be able to pay for my sub with that.

Just saying things doesn’t make them true. Especially when, honestly, it seems like even the hardcore community isn’t doing hardcore content.

Shadowlands is significantly better than BfA, I’m glad you’re enjoying it! Don’t let these forum trolls tell you otherwise, the game is in a great state at the moment and Ion and the dev team are really paying attention to player feedback this time around.

You could knock off the whole “oh woe is me…what did I ever do to deserve this…” act for starters. You’ve been doing that for years too.

No one just attacks you. I didn’t just attack you out of the blue. I came in the thread, saw how you were responding to people and YOUR BEHAVIOR prompted my initial comment.

It shouldn’t be hard as a functional adult to piece together that if you don’t want people to treat you like a rude jerk that you should endeavor to stop being a rude jerk to people. Especially when you’re allegedly a “helper” for those people.

Which is a problem. Borrowed power sucks. Especially when it takes an extended period of time to attain, requires multiple major patches to, “fix”, and then vanishes.

Keep making claims while refusing to back them up and then when you get called out on it you either refuse to answer or call people trolls when in reality it is you the troll who spams EVERY SINGLE THREAD REPEATING THE SAME NONSENSE EACH TIME.

You’ve ignored two so far because they highlight who you really are.

Eh stop putting words in his mouth. what he said is that acting like you’re being marginalised is frivolous, he didn’t say that the players are frivolous. Karen.

Too many people are concerned with trying to make the game perfect in their minds.
A little imbalance is not a bad thing.

Corruption went way too far, and it was easy to predict for sure, but covenants are working fine. There are outliers for sure, but there always were going to be.

Doing nothing each expansion would make the game more balanced, but that is not a valid option obviously.

The exact same systems and design decisions are exhausting me in SL that were present in BFA. It is basically the same expansion.

BFA might have been one of the only expansions that has gotten worse over time. SL can only go uphill from here.

There is so much on the table. There are fixes, new systems, and potential reworks in the make. Things have already changed since launch. Things are going to change futher.

Playing in 8.0 is nothing like playing in 8.2 or 8.3.

Right now we’re in 9.0.

9.1 will probably be sneak peaked or announced here in the next month 2 months at Blizzcon 2020 February.

Your first sentence contradicts your second sentence.

I would tend to agree if there was any alternative.

The way I see it, there is not.
You can not add power this strong and not remove it, and I would rather big swings of power each expansion than a single talent or something like they used to do.

Kinda like what you’re doing right now, shoo troll.

Check WCL. It could be the terrible tuning, but there seems to be far fewer guilds posting logs.
