Is there a bot problem?

Is it just me noticing some very unusual behavior in RSS? Havent done 3’s or 2’s yet but I am seeing a lot of suspicious movement, choppy jumps, pathing is very odd… asking them questions and they never respond. Last RSS there were 2 Shamans that essentially ran the exact same rotation, jumped at same time etc

Pretty experienced PVP’er and seeing WAY more than I ever have. Maybe just me and some bad luck?

Only bots you have to worry about in RSS are rotational bots that do the damage while people move or handle stuff like kicks, shadow word death etc

They certainly aren’t handling pathing in arena

I swear past 1800 its impossible to use death coil on warriors in solo shufffle. They wont ever use reflect befofore you coil and you can be standing right on top of them but they will get the reflect 100% of the time instantly. Pretty annoying when the entire war vs lock match up is balanced around coil in melee cleave lobbies especially

Well when you coil in the first 2 seconds of the match its really predictable

Yeah bro because the context of they wont reflect if you dont coil wasnt in there right. Somebody check this guy for reflect botting

The ‘rotation’ scripts will be banned and addressed just like they were in the past.

A bigger issue is Precog being introduced has led to an increase in the idea and practice of pixel detection kickbots.
Basically if the kickable background isn’t present on your key release it doesn’t send the input.
This type of logic is being used for other aspects of the game and is a much more difficult area for a game like wow to address due to the nature of something like current lua parsing.
It makes detection very difficult, and ways to improve detection or prevent it from occurring result in performance degrading or impaired functionality.

Most ppl turn chat off bc of toxicity so thats why they didnt respond

I have seen some people killing grounding totems before it even registers a name plate on my screen

100% this. The reporting system in WoW is so toxic you cant even whisper a Ragnaros players with “lol ragnaros” without get a 24 hour timeout like huh?  :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Dude right! I have a clip saved where a warrior kills my link totem instantly in like .0001 seconds just locks onto it kills it then continues pveing instantly.

Spirit Link totem should be un-targetable. Makes no sense that one of our biggest CDs can be negated instantly.

A classic player saying im botting OH THE IRONY LMAO

Holy cow… call me naïve but I never had ANY idea there was actual BOT software sites that sell their software! I watched a bunch of video’s on multiple sites on how the bots do what they do.
Just wow… I had no idea. How can this NOT be detectable? Wouldn’t Blizzard just need to sign up for the bot program, reverse engineer it and then be able to “sniff out” bots on their servers?

It is and that’s why people usually do it on burner accounts. :dracthyr_love_animated:

Kennie, what am I missing? What’s the point if they are getting banned and they know it will happen?

Win a lot until they do. Also bans expire, and I don’t know if they dq for non-r1 rewards. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

Yeah, they remove any achievements and awards attached to those. I was just reading about that. Jeesh, this is a world I had no idea existed at this level.

No, just mounts. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

Not true. When Mage tower came out again, they removed the MOGs (Werebear also) and achievement from everyone they detected did paid boosts.
