Is the pay off at 60 worth playing a warrior?

Pve wise I’m actually having a pretty good time. Now that I’m at ZF tanking is somewhat enjoyable and I recent switched to DW fury after playing 2h to level 43 and I’m finding it way more engaging as well (double fiery enchants help).

PvP has been a bit of a **** show though… I’m trying to convince myself when I get ganked that I would have died no matter what class I played given the circumstances… but it’s infuriating losing 1v1 and I find myself constantly wishing I had played something better at the solo experience of wow. Or when i do turn a fight around, I get poly’d or blinded or trapped and my trinket doesn’t remove any of those… and so I get beaten, possible camped… even got ganked and camped by a ret pally last night and he had to lay on hands to win. Worst part is, given his skill level and my arena experience I know if I was on ANY other class I would be the one camping him.

So I ask you, fellow warriors:

Is the payoff of finishing the grind to 60 on a warrior worth this? Do things get better somehow?

I will say this, I used to play D3 on hardcore (if your character dies, he’s dead for good) because I do like the challenge , constantly running my war to single digit health percentages while grinding… but I could pull that **** on any class… I would just go longer.

That’s kinda sad to hear, cause I’m 3 bars short of 46, but as far as play time goes I can only play like 1.5 hours per day during the week and maybe 6-8 hours Saturday and Sunday depending what’s going on with the wife a kid.

I guess the time commitment hasn’t occurred to me because leveling I can play at my own pace.

Decisions… :frowning:

It would be hard to restart after putting like 5-6 days played into this warrior… and what would I even play instead?

There is a lot of Warriors running around in my server, few are tanks.

If you are a tank Warrior and a good one at that people will constantly call your name.

Is there a time requirement associated with a level 60 war though?

What do you mean by time requirement?

Warrior is very fun at 60 especially pvp. I loved my arms warrior in vanilla. The class is very simple to play and very rewarding

Regarding what the first reply to the original post said… basically if you have a life, don’t play a warrior.

Classic, as was the case in Vanilla, is World of Rangecraft when it comes to ooen world PvP.

Life will get better as you gear up, and with BGs around the corner, you may find yourself enjoying the warrior more.

And as most warriors will tell you: solo can suck, grab a healer and you’re golden.

Best of luck!

Play what you enjoy. If your not having fun with any class now you won’t have fun at 60 long Ethier.

I mean, what class is fast and easy to level other than the varying degrees of Mage and Hunter?

The leveling process itself is the game. You can look up guides and get advice from the people you meet along the way.

Be smart about the professions you pick up. Don’t skip quests often and maybe try to get a consistent questing buddy on your side.

Like I said questing has been fine/ gotten better since I went fury. But I’m more concerned about what 60 solo play has in store… especially with level 48 around the corner and being a walking honor farm

I know warriors aren’t the ideal solo class… but how bad is it at 60?’

And as a casual player can I even play a 60 war to its potential?

Roll a healer or mage since both are in demand. Best part is you dont need to gear a healer since no one wants that junk and a mage is hard to gear but you do ridiculous dmg without anything on. Both a great for casual/ weekend warriors.

Yes. Vanilla Warrior is super rough to get TO 60 but then it becomes a friggin monster! Prolly the most OP class at 60, honestly.

Hey look you edited too.

Is 20 hours a week enough to be that monster at 60?.. like I said, leveling hasn’t been that bad.

Why do people think its super ruff on a warrior leveling? Use your professions to your advantage have a good weapon and arms build. Kill couple levels below you (green). Unless your under 40percent health you can go target to target keeping your rage. Sure others can give even more tricks to leveling one.

Pretty sure warriors all need to grind rank 10 honor although I’m not entirely sure. Not sure if it’s different for other classes either.
