Is the new ranking system popular or hated?

We don’t know what live will have yet.

Agreed 750k is a good amount. People are coming back to PVP in Era which is great.

On another note the forums just had a meltdown for me and force-swapped me to the Era Mootwo I’ve been leveling just for the forums (my clone’s on Whitemane) for when they shut Earthfury Wrath down. Goodbye Wrath! You won’t be missed.

500k is the cap.

Ahh ok, where did that get posted?

Editing to say: Yes Blizzard likes focusing on whatever pet project they want to and they ignore other things all the time. I find it annoying too.

They 500k “may” not make it live, but as of now its 500k.

“The effective Honor cap for the week has been adjusted to 500,000 Honor. Please note that this is a PTR-only value right now, and we may make additional adjustments to this value before the live launch of 1.14.4.”

Brokeback beard, huh?

That’s fair. Thanks for checking into it!

is EF Wotlk officially gone?

Nah I just expect them to shut Earthfury Wrath down with Cata.

It just swapped my forum avatar for some reason early LOL.

Inappropriate.

They changed the cap to 500k

Ha, gotcha.

My lord… Cata Classic. IF Shows 443K raiders logged in WOTLK Classic. If Cata classic happens… or when it happens. By Phase 2 whats the guess… 75k?

Hmm… well that would probably be Firelands which is a good raid. So I’ll guess 125k. Dragonsoul is not a great raid though so definitely fewer by P4.

Says “PTR value only” right next to that change. Because no one in their right mind was farming 750 on the PTR.

I’m expecting 750K for live until we’re explicitly told otherwise.

needs to be around a causals level of farming being as you can be sub 60 iq and get full purples in pve

No, it doesn’t. PvP gear will be available from day 1 on fresh servers. It needs to be consistently difficult to get. Not ranging from absolutely insane (like it was on the big SoM servers) to practically free (like it was on dead servers).

750K is more than I was willing to farm during the height of covid lockdowns in classic, when I had literally nothing else to do other than play WoW… I think that’s a good benchmark for fresh servers.

No sir it needs to be JUST AS easy as pve gear to get but the same time requirement would be fine. They need to add weapon tiers in pvp.

There is zero reason for fully geared pve raiding people to be able to run around and 1 shot people who dont raid and cant get pvp gear because rank 14 was only obtainable by account sharing.

None of us actually know what’s going to happen in the next season/fresh. Everything is speculation. It could potentially even be a TBC season.

I do agree that the caps should be at least 750K for fresh or the next season though.

As for Era, that’s also up in the air. I just looked, the cap for my ally during the covid summer of 2020 was 600k. :person_shrugging: I didn’t find that bad at all, I found that farm easy with my premade and fast queues. The cap for my druid in March 2020 was 700k. There were frequent 30 min queues for WSG/AB with that though and 3 hours for AV, and being a FC is BAD for the HPH, even though it’s fun. In SoM the caps were way higher at the start for horde, like 1.5 million or something.

So yeah if there are long queues 750k or even 500k will still require time ESPECIALLY without a (good) premade. I think people who don’t have a ton of time and want R14 are in for a surprise.

Wrong. PvP gear is guaranteed and not reliant on random drops.

It’s harder to get than raid gear for that reason. You can control it. You can’t control what drops in raid.
