Is the limit for WoW tokens bought from the AH still in effect?

I remember in the past there was a limit of 36 tokens in 24 months to be used for GAME TIME.

Other questions related to this.

  1. Assuming it is still in effect. Is this on an account level or a license level?
  2. Couldn’t someone easily circumvent this by simply redeeming their WoW token for blizzard balance and then using that for game time?

You may use the in-game Shop to purchase a maximum of 20 Tokens per week.

Your Blizzard account can only have one type of Token and:

  • a maximum of 20 Tokens purchased with money in your inventory at one time
  • a maximum of 10 Tokens purchased with gold in your inventory at one time

Currently the only two restrictions on acquisition, it looks.

But it does answer another question, looks like I’ll have to go look for those threads.

Per the link Ekon provided, the purchase limit appears to be no more than 20 tokens per week.

Tokens are purchased at the Battle.net account level.

You would still have to purchase the token, whether you were redeeming it for game time or balance.
