Is summoning an inferno in low-level zones griefing?

This is quality. :+1:

I’m picturing some guy making like 9 lev 60 warlocks farming a bunch and account sharing then making infernals forever

“No one gets to interact with this one random npc on my server. EVER”

It was not considered griefing in vanilla but you can bet with right click report it will get your account squelched in Classic.

But the retail players claim it wont be abused!

They lie. They are already abusing it.

I’m probably about to get hit with 10 reports and disconnect

This doesn’t stop the doomguards.

Those poor lowbies. None can resist being invited to a party by a lv.60 and then being asked to click on a strange demonic ritual. “There is zero way for them to play around it.”

“Hey dude, I need some help resummoning my pet.”
“Must be a big pet if you need five people.”
“Haha, yeah. You could say that.”

You don’t even have to lie.

And the lowbies abusing the report system should be actioned.

You don’t even have to say any of that, “Hey bud click this and i’ll give you two silver.” works 98% of the time.

As long as you pay him the two silver.

Well they’re normally pally’s hungry to get extra coin for those class skills… A special kinda irony in all that.

All this thread does for me is:

  1. Makes me excited to go demolish alliance towns
  2. Makes me lean more towards a Warlock alt than a Rogue alt. and
  3. Gives me a good laugh at how so many people are genuinely worried about hypothetical situations that haven’t even come to fruition yet. I mean seriously people you can’t live your whole life in fear of “OMG, but what if _____ happens?” Just deal with the situations as they come you can’t worry about everything all the time, and you can’t expect to legislate the fun out of a game because of a mechanic that you don’t like or agree with.

That’s tantamount to banning free speech because someone says something you don’t like. THAT is just crazy.

It was more fun doing it in the SW AH :japanese_ogre:

Addendum:

  • Infernal in populated hub
    – Killed by bored 60s within minutes, still on cooldown
  • Infernal in quest hub
    – Killed by support or mains eventually, still on cooldown
  • Infernal in obscure quest hub
    – Just grind crocolisks or something, it’s not the end of the world
  • Infernal in obnoxious overworld location, like a road or cave
    – Refer to diagram

Unless the guy releases control of the infernal really close to you, you’ll have plenty of time to act.

Right here is how blizzard killed their game

Yes, yes it is. I want to see this daily on Alliance.

Yes, and it’s actually worse than an opposite faction player which repeatedly kills quest givers and low level players because there is no consequence whatsoever - your own faction cannot attack you in this scenario. (Unless it’s another Locks’ Infernal - but that could also potentially exacerbate the chaos)

Some of the encouraging comments here about doing it for a ‘laugh’ is sickening.

If you take pleasure in pissing other people off from your own faction it’s not a case of “I’m fun at parties”. You’re just being a straight up jerk - “HAHA LOLZZ my own faction low level playerz are getting insta-killed and I don’t have to worry hahahaha!”

It’s a d**k move - don’t do it.
