I was a TBC player because it was the only thing to do because classic was dead. I think there are many people like me. I wonder how many of the tbc player base is just there because classic died.
No.
Blizzard killed TBCC.
SoM will not impact TBC.
players quit TBC because raiding’s too hard for them. Hard vanilla raids won’t attract those rejected by hard TBC raids.
TBCC will be fine especially for the main people playing it right now, the people who play to raid and that’s pretty much it.
The majority of the people in my TBCC guild have no plans to play SoM.
SOM will completely destroy TBCC. If it wasn’t going to, SOM wouldn’t even exist.
They wouldn’t have put this much effort in a “modified” Classic if TBC could hold all their players.
TBCC hasn’t even been out for a six months yet, and servers are dwindling.
Let’s get this Spinach
Probably yeah. Then WotLK Classic will exterminate them both.
SOM will not kill TBCC even with the changes to MC I have no desire doing it for 6 months until BWL comes out. It’s just to early to go back for that content for me.
If TBCC dies ull be going to swtor for the 10th anniversary stuff and game updates to try that out.
TBCC has been dying a slow death. Everyone and their mother/dad are raiding logging. Even big time streamers are playing other games and just logging in for raids and 10 arena games.
I havent been raiding mainly because I didnt want to do the attunement quests and this weekend I barely log in even to pvp. I fly around on my mage and have yet to see an alliance out in the world to gank. I’m so hype for SOM… I just want a healthly and busy world.
I still believe SWTOR is the best single player MMO. =) If they updated the graphics I would play again. I loved my operative.
Maybe, the only thing that ruined TBCC, imo, was the player base and over hyping it like it’s the holy grail. To an extent, it is to be fair, but people put it out there like it would be the most time consuming thing. Which again, to be fair, it kind of was. No one played it like they are doing it now. Just rep farming/spamming dungeons as early as possible to unlock heroics and not being in the world. Blizzard throwing in a character boost also didn’t help anyone that’s for sure.
tbc always appreciated as the hardcore expansion lived up to its name
filtering all casuals who were expecting LFR tier difficulty pretty quickly
SoM will die in less than 2 months and people will complain on why they dont release naxx already
and after 2 months you guys will be saying “after 6 months” SoM will die and so on.
If you dont want to play it no one is forcing you guys… stop wasting ur time and ours by posting here. Wait, nevermind… these are free bumps.
Interesting you say all this, yet you’re posting in the Classic WoW Forum. Surprised you’re not posting in some SWTOR threads about how great the anniversary is.
Let’s get this Spinach
Updating the graphics is part of the 10th anniversary celebration along with updates to the ui and they are doing xclass stuff like a operative will be able to do a sniper rife or 2 hand guns like a BH or sniper and jugg can dual wield lights sabers.
They are also talking about trimming the number of abilities each class has which has the community in an uproar cause they don’t want them to do it because of wow.
I play swtor casually as in when I need a break from wow.
Also i clearly said I would go try. U should learn to read.
That sounds awesome. I will have to go check it out.
Never played SWTOR, and probably won’t ever try it.
You also wrote “…when I need a break from wow”. Most people will always return to this game for Classic/Vanilla, because it was a peak gaming time.
I read it fine. You said SOM won’t kill TBCC, where you’re posting from a level 70 Orc Hunter who clearly is playing less of it.
It’s inevitable that people will prefer Classic over TBC.
If you arent a SW fan I wouldnt either and if you are. You are missing out on a great single player mmo experience in that universe.
There really is ability bloat in that game, many abilities are redundant. I’m still enjoying filling out my legacy there.
